Villa Lago - Emerald Isle

Spacious and cleanly home. Great for a large family.

Check in and out was seamless. House was as advertised. Lots of space and well stocked. Having 2 six seater golf carts made for easy trips to the beach, Publix and Baytowne Wharf. Will definitely stay again!

This home has potential to be a lovely place, however it is not ready for quests and the customer support was not supportive. To begin I had been asking if I could get into the unit a little early to prepare for my family coming in - having food and drinks ready and little welcome gifts in their rooms. I was told to let them know when I had arrived and they would let me in and I did offer as well to pay. When I arrived I texted (arrangements I made to get there early) and was told "We never let people into this rental early". They never said that and actually said I could get in early which is why I arrived early. Golf Carts are an issue and do not hold battery we drove our car to the beach, NO ICE machine, you must buy ice - the little ice machine makes less than 1/4 glass in a hour we were not told this. Kitchen tools were very old and not safe to use - I purchased my own and donated. The home was not clean and the first morning I tried my best to clean it so it was comfortable. No blankets and bed had only a thin cover, we used bath towels to sleep with. The laundry room was very nice and that worked perfect. The gas grill did not have a full propane tank, we were told to go purchase one and when I asked where they said "you will need to find it", we were getting ready to just grill quickly and had dinner that then we had to back up dinner as the "grill" was not ready. We did get the propane tank. The tank connector however comes loose and honestly not safe, I am certain it has not been serviced and of course we know it was not checked. The WIFI has a different password depending on where you look and we were instructed at one point to "find the router" and get the password from there. Pillows for the couch were so dirty I put them in the closet so the little ones did not touch. One of the children found a battery outside on the couch and we did find personal creams and lubricant behind a side table in a bedroom. Closets were big, the gentlemen who came to teach us how to "trip the breaker" so we could open the garage door and use the golf carts were sooooo sweet and helpful so THANK YOU GENTRY AND TEAM. The golf carts battery lost charge very quickly and could not be taken to more than one place and back. We had to have a golf cart towed and the manger was helpful at that time. We had to stay home to wait for the tow truck and again to wait for the repair man the next day. To much time spent on preparing the rental when it should have been ready for us. We of course would never rent again, the structure is nice the rental is not ready for guests. We were provided a very small refund however not enough to treat the family to dinner. Hopefully the owners will get it figured out.

Great location!

Our family of 12 loved this place. Everything was nice & clean there were two nice golf carts for us to use which was a plus since we were a little distance from the beach. There is a trolley that comes around to pick you up to shuttle to the beach. We opted to drive our vehicles so everyone could fit on one trip. The parking is $20 to get to our beach access post. The pool was very clean & not crowded as there are many throughout the resort. There is also free additional parking areas if you & guest arrive in more than 2 cars. Only 2 parking spots available.

The house was perfect for our families - especially the kids. Nice, clean and cozy home with a relaxing view of the Baytowne Golf Course #2 fairway. Golf carts made transportation to and from the beach and shopping center a breeze. We will definitely come again!!
