Classic Florida condo near the beach with heated pool, hot tub, tennis, golf

My experience with this Vacasa rental was disappointing from start to finish due to a total lack of communication and serious maintenance failures. Before booking, I reached out to the host regarding a late checkout and never received a response. I decided to book anyway, but the communication issues only worsened. On the day of my arrival, I messaged again via Vrbo to get the entry code and was ignored once more. I eventually had to spend ten minutes on hold with customer service just to get into the unit. Even then, the arrival was a mess; the gate guards had no record of my stay, and because the provided GPS coordinates were incorrect, I spent fifteen minutes driving around the complex just trying to locate the door. The interior of the property was in a state of clear neglect. Upon walking in, I noticed broken blinds on the front door, worn-out, dirty carpets, and couches that were so dated they felt "gross" to sit on. There was even a cockroach in the bathroom that I had to kill. While trying to set up a workspace, I moved a patio chair and sliced the top of my foot on a rusted, broken chair leg. Beyond the cosmetic issues, there are genuine safety hazards here. An ancient power strip in the unit looks like a major fire risk, and the front door lacks a deadbolt or any secondary interior security locks. I felt uneasy throughout my entire stay knowing the unit couldn't be properly secured from the inside at night. The lack of care extended to the common areas as well. One of the three hot tubs was clearly not being maintained, as the water level was significantly lower than the side filter, meaning the water wasn't being properly circulated or cleaned. Between the physical injury, the pests, and the complete lack of responsiveness from management, I cannot recommend this property. Vacasa needs to conduct a thorough safety and maintenance audit of this unit immediately, as it is currently a liability to guests.

The stay was wonderful the condo was nice until we had roaches running in tje cabinets and on tje counter found dead ones under the sink. They did give a discount but we saw roaches. They said they sprayed other units from the HOA. They did give a discount onlyn50.00 dollars for a stay that was over 400.00.

We absolutely loved Sandpiper Cove. The location and condo were overall gorgeous. The people and the area were quiet, quaint, and beautiful. However, this condo did have a roach problem that needs to be handled. Vacasa had someone come in and bomb while we were at the beach. They also offered to move us, but the relocation condo was way down the street in a high rise that was NOT at all in walking distance to the beach with 3 children so we didn’t go. We really want to go back to Sandpiper next year, so are hoping for no issues. 🤞

The location was wonderful. Right across the street. It was about a 3 minute walk from our condo to the ocean water. There is even a view of the ocean from the balcony. The grounds were well kept. I’m already recommending this condo to other family members and planning our next stay!
