The elevator will open at the suite's door. I likes the security of the place. However I gave a 2 on cleanliness because the master bed was not made, the dishes in the dishwasher were dirty and smelled bad, trash was not taken out, used towel in one of the showers and by the sink. The other bedrooms and bathrooms were clean.

View from the room was great. We will be back to Destin.

This condo was so disgusting, we elected to move despite the extreme hassle that it created. The unit is grossly misrepresented. It was absolutely filthy and the furniture on both decks so rusted and pathetic, it was dangerous to try to sit on the deck, so we didn't even have the ability to get away from the disgusting interior .The carpet in the master bedroom looked like someone had bled to death on it. The mattress in the master bedroom was lumpy and horribly uncomfortable. The two twin beds in the third bedroom were simply mattresses on a platform and in the morning my granddaughter awoke to have the mattress moved out so far it's a miracle she didn't tumble into the floor. Much of the trim in the kitchen has broken and the wall entering the kitchen from the master bedroom is stained with who-knows-what. We arrived late the first night to find a broken garbage disposal and had to wait until late the next morning for maintenance to arrive to fix it after our grocery delivery had arrived, so we had no beach time the first full day and elected to stay that evening out of exhaustion from the 13 hour trip, knowing what an extreme hassle it would be to try to move to another unit. After yet another night on that lumpy mattress, we allowed Vacasa to find us another unit and we spent 4 hours packing up and moving without any help from Vacasa. I have asked repeatedly for an adjustment to our rental fee due the misrepresentation of the units condition and losing 2 days but have been unsuccessful as they have not been cooperative. We will never rent from Vacasa again and I urge others to find other providers of accommodations. The only bright spot in dealing with Vacasa was a young woman named Cathy who apparently was only with the company 3 months but tried her best to assist but even she could not help with providing an adjustment to our rental fee. It was acknowledged several times that the owner has been advised of the condition of this unit, yet has failed to make any repairs or address any of the problems. Why does the casa continue to represent this unit and collect a fee for its rental if they know it is being presented in a fraudulent manner. Even the president of the homeowners association indicated he has known for some time of the problems with the unit, yet nothing has been done. I would never have brought my young grandchildren into this pathetic excuse for a vacation spot had I known what miserable shape it was in. It's rather sad, because we have stayed at Silver Shells and even at St Maarten a number of times and have always enjoyed the property itself and the beautiful beach there. We ended up having to move to Okaloosa Island to finish our vacation after losing 2 of our 8 days we paid for. I remain thoroughly disgusted.
