Overview

Emerald Waters is a beautiful Florida cottage-style home located on Lake Christine. This three-story home has three bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Emerald Waters features multiple outdoor living spaces with views of both the lake and the beautiful Emerald Coast. The house sits steps away from the beach and the community swimming pool. The first floor has an outdoor shower and a large screened-in porch. For the children, there is a large custom-built sandbox sure to make memories. The second floor is home to two spacious bedrooms. One bedroom has a king bed and a twin window bed. The second has three twin beds. One of the two living areas is located on the second floor. Both residing spaces feature cozy fireplaces. There are also two gorgeous balconies facing both the Gulf and Lake Christine. The third features a coastal kitchen with beautiful white appliances. For dining, there is a large table that seats at least eight people. The second living area is located off the kitchen with views of the ocean. The master suite is located on the top floor with a private balcony overlooking the lake. The master suite has both his and her vanities, a walk-in shower, and a separate tub. Enjoy Emerald Waters and the Destin Pointe community. THINGS TO KNOW: Seasonal beach service (one umbrella and two chairs) is included. This service begins March 15 and ends October 31.

First of all, let me say the location of the house is absolutely perfect. It is right next to the brand new infinity pool, which is fantastic. It also offers great views from the balconies both on the front and the back of the house. Overall, it was a fine stay. We did not have issues with bugs like previous reviews stated and the A/C and all appliances worked fine. I didn't have the highest of expectations after reading the reviews, so overall we were pleased with our stay. The house does need a lot of work and I could see where people would but upset with the details, but for the price, it was fine. It is an older home, so temper your expectations, but I would stay again if all variables were the same.

Cockroaches throught the home and in the cabinets! Additional bugs in the shower. Mice and rats on the entry stairs at night with rodent feces covering the stairs and handrails. Broken oven. Refrigerator not cold. Air conditioner stopped working during stay. No lights in the one of the bathrooms. All rugs covered in stains. Not very clean. Front door handle broken. Kids and wife couldnt even open the front door. Vacasa Offered no solutions during our stay and wouldnt even send out a repairman to fix the A/C (On our last day they offered to refund 1 of the nights). Some of the lamps were broken. One of the lampshades had burn marks from contacting the bulb! Apparently house almost burnt down and they left the broken lamp shades! Avoid this house and Vacasa. House should be condemed. Horrible experience. Avoid Vacasa at all costs.

I loved the location and the gated community was amazing! All the staff there was very friendly. But the house needed some serious upkeep. Broken oven door, busted ice maker (ice falling out in the freezer), roaches crawled over my granddaughters while laying in bed, the kitchen was on the 3rd floor and the elevator did not work to get groceries up to kitchen, and locks on the doors was rusted out and didn't work. Numerous other things but it needs a lot of tlc to help it!
