Sun Haven is a lovely property directly on the sound with a pier for viewing the beautiful Dauphin Island sunsets. We brought our own kayaks and boat and enjoyed the private beach for some unseasonal, February, high 70 degree sunbathing!! The water is a bit shallow and the pier and boat house are high, so if you have a deep-V boat, you may not be able to keep your boat in the water or get on and off the boat at the dock. There are launches close by to launch and pick up your boat daily. The Gulf is a 2 minute walk for a fun day in the surf or some crab catching with the kiddos at night. The house is in a very nice area of the Island and offered much-needed peace and quiet!

Cute home with all the amenities. Wifi was hit or miss some. Water was very shallow (it never got above my waist) so fishing off the pier was not we expected and the public fishing pier was closed for repairs. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back to Dauphin Island, its such a cute quiet town.

We loved having our meals on the deck, fishing from the wharf. Plenty of room for being with family in the house, deck, wharf, beach and swimming in the Sound.
