Unique beachside A-frame with porches, fantastic views & ocean access

Beds were comfortable but every shift would creak or bang and wake partner. Bedding though had some stains. Lots and lots of towels. The flooring is separating so there's gaps. Some damaged wall spots. Various stains on furniture. The big window wall is nice though for light. If you're tall you'll have issues sitting at either toilet, one is close to sink, the other is next to angled wall. It's close enough to walk to the beach.

The High Point has a lot of potential. The location is fantastic — just a short walk to the beach and close to all the local spots on Dauphin Island. You really can’t beat the convenience if you’re looking to relax and explore the area. That said, our experience at the house left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, we found two large live roaches inside, which was not the welcome we were hoping for. The furniture was noticeably stained, which made the space feel less clean and cared for. The mattress was also very uncomfortable, which made it hard to get quality rest during our stay. One of the biggest concerns was the broken front door knob. We reported it right away and were told someone would come fix it, but no one ever showed up. That was disappointing and left us feeling a bit uneasy about security. This property could be amazing with a few updates and more attention to cleanliness and guest communication. We’ve had great stays with Vacasa before, so we’re hopeful that these issues will be addressed for future guests.

House and location were great. Just needs a couple small fixes like the front door. But outside of that, great house.
