Beautiful gulf-front beach home with sweeping views from balcony, shared pool, WiFi

When we arrived at this beautiful home we thought we should change our names to Tony and Carmela Suprano. The exterior represents suburban luxury with a tropically landscaped entryway. The luxurious Interior was more than we expected for a coastal vacation get-a-way. The walks along the miles of the sugar white quartz sand beach were wonderful, and the sun rises and sets over the emerald waters are unforgettable. Thank You For A Wonderful Gulf Shores Vacation!

The west garage door is not functional, do not use this garage entrance. The front door, to enter, push on the door with all your strength, then enter the code, and hopefully the latch will move, if not have another person also push on the door. To lock the front door at night, slam the door with all your might while pulling on the handle with all your weight, then try to latch the door. Good luck with VRBO/VACASA if you have any issues while staying at this home, the company is not on site, so try to put up with the problems you encounter, VRBO/VACASA is very very slow to respond to your requests. Now finally to VRBO/VACASA, do not reply to my review with your platitudes, I do not trust anything you have to say online, if you want to respond, call me personally.

The good: The views are awesome. But, aren't they everywhere on the beach? Answer: yes. The neighborhood is gated (though not staffed after dark - weird) and is isolated at the extreme west end of Beach Boulevard. Nice and secluded. Linens were clean. The bad: Wow. Let me count the ways: 1. NOT clean. Stevie Wonder could tell this place was not clean. 2. NOT safe. The back doors were unlocked when we got there. But that isn't the worst: the exterior doors ALL need to be replaced. My wife could only unlock a single one. The best (thank God) was the rear door to the primary bedroom. The one in the family room - unworkable. The one in the dining room - nearly unworkable. The one in the main entry hall - nearly unworkable. Ridiculous to rent a house out that has exterior doors in this kind of condition. You should be ashamed (though I have no doubts you are NOT). 3. Garage door opener not working on arrival. Had to sleep with the garage open and exposed to possible intruders the first night. I called immediately upon arriving but your staff said it wasn't important enough to reopen the office to take care of after hours. Message received loud and clear. 4. Kitchen ovens are disgusting. Clean them. 5. Furniture is in terrible condition. Replace it. 6. Top Deck and 2nd floor deck have little or no furnishings. So, I have to stand for the entire time I want to watch the sunrise, pretty surf, or sunset from the best vantage point? You have three (total) plastic chairs on the top two floors, and a single sling chair on the third floor that ripped when I sat in it. Unclean, inadequate, and unsafe to boot.

The view was spectacular! The bones of the house are great BUT the owners maintenance is less than stellar. Tile missing in bathroom, chair repaired with duct tape and zip ties, microwave makes noise but does not work, lower oven overheats and burns food. Lock on one door is lying on the porch and the hole has masking tape over it...when it rains it causes leaks on lower floors, one toilet handle broke off. Had to call service twice, they were wonderful. Be very cautious in choosing this house.

We have stayed at this home multiple times. We come back because of the feelings the first time we arrived. Breath taking view.
