Overview
Soak in the serene coastal beauty that surrounds you at Gulf Shores Plantation Dunes. Whether your condo is directly on the Gulf or comes with a less direct view of the Gulf, you'll find yourself in the middle of one of the most beautiful areas of the Gulf Coast - Fort Morgan. Fort Morgan is well known for its peaceful, laid-back atmosphere where vacationers can explore nature at the Bon Secour National Wildlife Sanctuary or the historic Civil War era Fort Morgan. The wildlife refuge, which encompasses some of the state's last remaining undisturbed coastal barrier habitat, is home to a variety of wildlife, with more than 360 different species of birds documented on the site. Spring and fall welcome beautiful migratory bird populations as they travel between their breeding and wintering grounds. The refuge is also home to endangered species, including the loggerhead, Kemp's Ridley and green sea turtles as well as the Alabama Beach Mouse. Historic Fort Morgan is situated on Mobile Point at the end of the scenic Fort Morgan Peninsula. Here, you'll find nature areas, a boat launch, a picnic area and beaches along with an on-site museum and opportunities to learn about the significant role the fort played in the Battle of Mobile Bay in August 1864. Back at Plantation Dunes, you'll enjoy a variety of resort amenities, such as basketball, shuffleboard and tennis courts; a putting green; a horseshoes pit; a sauna; an indoor pool; a barbecue area; and a volleyball net. When you decide to head indoors, you'll enjoy the comfort of your coastal-inspired furnishings, a well-equipped kitchen and private balcony. Choose Gulf Shores Plantation Dunes for your next vacation, and you'll appreciate the comfort of your condo, the beauty of the natural surroundings and the resort's many amenities. THINGS TO KNOW

Great condo right at the edge of the sand dunes! A short walk over the boardwalk and you're on the beach! Condo faces east, perfect for watching the sun rise over the waves. Delicious food at the Sassy Bass located on the bottom floor and great coffee at Selah right across the parking lot. The condo itself is well furnished and comfortable.
Loved the cute condo and the views of the beach! All the amenities were great and easy to access. Very family friendly!
Beautiful property and great location, will definitely be back again. Staff are all super friendly and helpful, wonderful coffee/ice cream shop on-site, 24hr security and a great restaurant Sassy Bass on-site, you could stay here and not leave the property all week. Beautiful beach access, just overall a 10 out of 10 place to stay.
Nicely decorated.
Pros-Easy check in & check out. Nice place secluded from everything. About a 25-30 mins drive to restaurants in orange beach. Rooms a little outdated but didn’t spend much time in there to care. Kitchen is smaller but we prepped all food before coming so wasn’t an issue for us. Would have been hard to prep dinner for 7. Loved the coffee shop on site. Also had Sassy’s grill if you wanted food without leaving resort Cons- TVs didn’t work. Could only stream (wasn’t a problem for us as we have streaming services). The bathroom didn’t have a plug for bathtub so had to find something to plug bath to bathe the kids. Blankets were thin as sheets-definitely bring extra if you get cold easily. The fridge also didn’t have a bottom shelf so didn’t have much storage space. Overall good for what we needed for a 3 night stay!
The condo was clean. I think the fridge needs more shelves or repaired. The main bed is not comfortable. The blankets were very thin so if you get cold easily at night I would recommend extra blankets. Overall the condo was ok just a few things we didn’t like .
