Rating
This home has a lot of potential. It’s adorable and located right on the beach. Unfortunately, the charm is overshadowed by a shower that didn’t drain (but was fixed so no dings for this), a washing machine that didn’t drain (we stayed for 6 days and had a toddler with us so a load or two of laundry was needed), the bed linens in one room were stained and the extra linens had a strong odor (we would have washed them ourselves had the washing machine been working properly), the shower in the back suite leaked beneath the door making a huge puddle on the floor each time you showered. We were not given the code for the back bedroom upon check-in so I had to call to request it (annoying) and couldn’t find the unplugged WiFi router for a couple or hours upon arrival. We had to call guest services several times regarding our issues, and only one was resolved (shower drain) but for that, I had to call and insist. when the plumber arrived, he had no tools and asked for a butter knife to open the shower drain (and said he couldn’t do anything to help with the shower). Also, the rooms are on the smaller side so there wasn’t much space for luggage (we stayed for 6 days so had more than duffle bags). The kitchen also had the bare necessities but we cooked every meal and could have used bigger pots/pans for meals. The bed in the back suite was really not great - it felt like we were sinking. The rooms are a bit small so keep that in mind when you’re planning what to bring. I called guest services, who was helpful, but the local Vacasa office did not respond not acknowledge our other tickets/ complaints regarding the washing machine and stained linens. I gave up and stopped calling. The house is cute and the location is nice - it has lots of potential but the issues we had overshadowed the location and charm. This is a for house for 4-6 people who plan to stay for the weekend and eat out/not spend much time indoors. Given the lack of response/acknowledgement of our issues from the local Vacasa office, I will not rent through them again.
