Property was currently listed for sale. Obviously, the owner was not putting any thing new into the property, as numerous things needed attention.
I loved the homey feeling of the home and how close it was to the beach.
The ocean view was beautiful. The location of the house is fantastic and away from all the commercial condos. However, it is a 20 minute drive to town. Personally that didn't bother anyone in our group. The house had plenty of parking for 4 cars. The house was clean when we arrived. Check-in and Check-out were easy. This beach house has a lot of potential, but could use some TLC. The white couches look dirty and need professionally cleaned. They’ve definitely seen better days. The home decor in the main living room is nice. However, there was not enough comfortable seating for 9 adults in the living room. The WiFi wasn't reliable and only worked part of the time. This did not go over well with the teenagers at night time. The air conditioning didn't keep the bedrooms upstairs cool at night. Three bedrooms have extremely hard and uncomfortable mattresses. There are only 2 TVs in the entire house. Each bathroom needs more towels. I was constantly washing shower towels and washcloths. The decking and outdoor screened in area could use some attention. Some of the screens are damaged/torn and bugs are getting in the patio. The decking needs sanded and restained. Beware that this home is not handicap, elderly, or toddler friendly. It’s a tri-level house with LOTS of stairs. None of these issues ruined our trip they were just inconveniences or observations. Since it was July and the water was warm there were lots of jelly fish in the ocean. At least 5 out of 9 people in our group got stung by a jelly fish. Obviously that's just part of going to the beach in the summertime. My biggest complaint of all is that everyday the people who rented the beach houses behind us would walk in between the private property oceanfront beach houses. They sat up their tents beside our tents and left them there the entire week of our vacation. They acted like they were entitled to put their tent wherever they wanted to put it. When in reality they should’ve been going down to the public beach entrance. They got drunk daily and played terrible music. The houses located directly on the beach need to put up fencing to keep people out. Maybe some no trespassing signs and private beach signs would help. Why should I pay top dollar for a private beach lot and then have to share it with the public? I noticed the new owners that just bought this house have raised the cost $1000 for a 7 night stay. Hopefully with that much of a price Increase they’ll make lots of upgrades.
The convenience of being on the beach was great. Also the brightness of the home
Location was fantastic! Beach was not crowded and house was steps from the beach!
This house is right on the beach and in a quiet neighborhood. The sand and beach are perfect. You could not ask for a better spot to play and lounge on the beach. Love the screened in porch. Lots of seating. We had a lovely time. The outdoor areas are nice. The two steps from the kitchen and hall to the living area gave some people problems as they are not clearly marked. The house is cheery and decorated nicely; having so many bathrooms was a plus. Thanks for hosting us, we had a lovely time.
