the check in was very smooth. Most importantly any issues we encountered, when we mentioned it, the response was immediate. the property manager was very hands on.

We spent most of our time at the Disney parks so we were not in the house much. Joey, it was clean and spacious and full of what we needed. It was also so close to Disney and gas and groceries. It was a great rental.

It was a great location, great place and a fantastic price! The team did a great job keeping us informed and assisting during our stay!

Nice pool area, the house is as described in the pictures. Do not expect any luxury.

Compass Bay is not a resort complex, but rather a 15 year old residential complex of several hundred units. Each building consists of 5-6 townhouses. Most are year round residents, several snowbirders, and some vacation rentals. It is well located to Orlando attractions. The complex is undergoing extensive exterior renovations at this time: new roofs, stucco repairs, painting and pressure washing. The pool is small, but heated in the winter. The pond is primarily for drainage, not very picturesque. Our unit’s interior was relatively clean, but badly in need of maintenance. Many light bulbs were out, kitchen cabinet doors stuck, the paint on the toilet seats worn down to the raw wood, water is turned off on the master bath second sink (?), a curtain rod is pulled from the wall. The garbage disposal was leaking, causing mold on the cabinet base. The sofa springs were so weak we had to sit on bed pillows to be comfortable. There are no end tables at the sofas to hold drinks, books, etc. Some drapes are dry rotted and falling apart. The windows do not operate, the plastic locks have begun to crumble. The back slider will not lock without a pry bar and special effort. The beds were comfortable. This unit does not have cable. The SmartTV does not get over the air TV broadcasts, just some freebee streaming, and whatever streaming services already on the TV if you subscribe to it. We could not add a streaming service. We tried purchasing a HDTV antenna to receive the local channels, but the TV would not recognize it. This place is fine for a family short stay while visiting Orlando attractions, but for a longer stay involving cooking most meals at home, be prepared to supplement the kitchenware. There is little in the way of table serveware, ovenware, or food prep implements. We always bring our own kitchen knives. There is a limited supply of tableware, so the dishwasher has to be run frequently. We reported the plumbing problems and other issues to the property manager, VACASA, but they never came to repair in the three weeks we were there, despite several communications on our part. One would think a plumbing leak that is causing damage to a unit would be responded to. In reviewing comments by other clients, we experienced many of the same problems reported over a year ago. Clearly VACASA is not a responsive Property Manager. This is our second bad experience with VACASA and I don’t think we will rent one of their properties again. They will respond to this review with a heartfelt apology and promise to look into the problems, then do nothing about it.

The unit showed obvious signs of use, and although it was just a place needed for a weekend trip, this Vacasa unit was the least favorable of all Vacasa units I have stayed at previously. The unit was very clean upon entry, but it showed signs of being heavily used and seemingly quick patch work to make only cosmetic repairs and turned around for the next guest.
