Lakefront Cabin, Sleeps 16, Dock, Fire Pit, Hot Tub

We had the best time at this cabin! It had practically everything we needed for a perfect getaway. The house was spotless, and the decor gave it a cozy, authentic cabin feel. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and game room, both were a big hit with our group. One of the highlights was the lift to the dock, it was extremely helpful and made it so easy to bring down coolers and gear to our boat. The location was also ideal, close to great marinas and restaurants, but still peaceful and private. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Pros: * Tram to dock, but beware: it doesn’t go all the way down—still about 15 steep steps at bottom, and another 15 steps up to the house. Not senior-friendly (tough for my 85-year-old in-laws). Cons (too many to list, but here’s the worst): * Terrible water pressure—hot water was a trickle in all sinks and showers. * Shower heads clogged with hard water buildup; water sprayed in all directions. * Heavy hard water film on everything—kitchenware looked dirty, even after scrubbing. House Needs a water softener desperately. We ended up using all disposable stuff we went and bought * Pots and pans scratched and dirty—had to clean before use. * Dishwasher barely usable—loose seal, hard water scum, broken bottom rack. * Wifi was horrible-very slow, constant buffering. None of the TVs in bedrooms would connect to the wifi * Washing machine also coated with hard water buildup. * Deck filthy—cobwebs, spider webs, stained cushions (we used towels to sit), overgrown vines with bugs, empty propane tank for fire table. * Yard neglected—weeds everywhere, trash cans already full when we arrived, yet the instructions said we had to haul out all our garbage, but had nowhere to put it * House was dirty at check-in—had to vacuum, wipe down surfaces, and wash sheets (found hairs in bed). * Broken doors labeled “Do not use.” * Dim lighting throughout—hard to see in most rooms. WORST ISSUE: Carpenter ants infested our boat. We docked our new Tritoon boat and new inflatable floating dock on the property. After one rainy day, we came back to find hundreds of huge black carpenter ants in the boat and inside the rolled-up dock. They burrowed into the foam flooring of our floating dock that was rolled up on our boat, ruining it. Needless to say, we spent half the day trying to exterminate all the ants on the boat. The ants came from the dock at this rental without a doubt. I would not recommend staying here!!!

This place is very secluded on a great part of the lake. It held our 16 people comfortably. It’s a good thing they have a lift, because there is 158 steps from the bottom floor to the dock on the lake. Overall a nice place to stay.

We recently stayed at On The Rocks from 6/22/25 to 6/29/25 with four (4) adults and five (5) kids. The place met our expectations and had plenty of space for all of us. Place was as shown and advertised. Previous review stated no hot water in the sinks, but we discovered that the single lever faucets were backwards and it does work. The lift to/from the house and lake worked perfectly, but we also took the stairs to/from the house/lake. House is not too far from the jumping bridge as we enjoyed that and our favorite cover to anchor and get out to float/swim. The road(s) to get to the home is pretty winding with steep climbs and descends so we didn't make alot of trips to town during our stay. We ended up cooking alot at the home as the kitchen had multiple ovens, gas rangetop and outdoor grill that suited us perfectly.

This place was perfect. It is well stocked, even if you are cooking meals, we didn’t need a thing. It was clean and they were very helpful when asking questions. 10/10 we would stay again.

The location was perfect, offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere that made our getaway truly relaxing. The management team was friendly and attentive, making sure everything was set up for a great stay. We felt right at home and appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a memorable and hassle-free stay. Looking forward to visiting again in the future!
