Seven Cozy Cottages Minutes to Beach and Downtown Dogs Welcome

I would agree with the most recent review before mine. While the space was outdated and could use some fixes and better attention to cleaning, the space was comfortable with a good location. Some notes from our group: the bed are very uncomfortable, the “cabins” have been given the “landlord special” for what looks like decades( over use of silicone caulking, broken furniture, very dirty grout, broken tiles, dirty kitchen drawers), and while is listed as pet friendly it has no gates for the shared yard. We even had a chair break under an average sized elderly man sending him backwards into the wall hitting his head. Some positives: all linens were clean, kitchen had basic cooking utensils, pots, pans, plenty of hot water, and a very good location. I would honestly book again but it would have to be with folks who have a lower standard of cleanliness, aesthetic, etc..

Bathrooms and beds were very clean. Fun to have the steam train chug by the cabins. The kids loved that! Good supply of soap. Shampoo. Kitchen soap. Paper towels. Garbage bags. Need to bring a toaster and hair dryer. Some units have very small refrigerator and no microwave. Bring camp chairs. No outdoor seating. Because of beautiful weather we used the small grass area outside for all our meals and gatherings. The grass is very uneven and full of pot holes. Dolphin 1 is the largest (house) for gathering a dozen people. The cabins are quite small. It’s nice they allow 41 people, but the 7 couch/futons truly sleep only one teen/adult so a large party needs to bring additional cots. The accommodations handled our family reunion of 12 adults, 7 teens, and 4 children quite well. The foam mattresses are acceptable, but the old spring mattresses need replaced. Very uncomfortable for an adult. Although all units were thoroughly cleaned, special attention needs given to grout, ceilings and ceiling fans. The outside needs painted. An enjoyable rustic stay in the middle of town and only 2 blocks from the beach. Since the June reviews were so terrible, I called ahead to ask for a thorough cleaning. All calls to Vacasa were well received and handled efficiently. I had to call for the codes to the key boxes. We were given 40% of codes prior to arrival. There were previous complaints about parking but we found two back-in spots in front and were able to park multiple cars along the slope across the road behind the cabins. Easy accessibility unless lots of people park there for beach access or church activities. We saved $1000 using Vacasa instead of VRBO for these cabins. It was a fun weekend enjoying Rockaway Beach and Pronto Pups (corndogs), Cannon Beach, Tillamook Creamery, and evenings around a propane fire. Per the fire department, propane fires are allowed. Also ok are wood fires which are 50 feet from the dunes.

We have over 20 pictures of things that were wrong with this property. First this property is not as advertised. It is NOT seven individual cottages. It is only 5. The other "two" are a small house with an upstairs, this was a problem for us as we had elderly people who could not do stairs. However this was not described in the posting. Right before we arrived we were told by VACASA that there is only ONE parking spot, not one per cottage just one. As we were coming across the country this made it very difficult for us to prepare for each of our members. I asked for VACASA customer service to help me understand where I could park...Nothing, no response. Only after our last day when I called for the 7 or 8th time did then mention that there was actually parking for each cottage. Lets talk about the cottages... They had great photographers for this property. We found animal feces on the door steps on two of the "cottage" entries. It was clear that it had been there for some time which means no one actually came to clean up before our arrival. We also found trash on the property, broken outdoor seating tables, and decking with exposed nails. Once we got into the cottages we had a refrigerator that did not work correctly , thankfully one of our family members was able to get it to work. Then we had couches that had tears in the material, bedding that had holes and we not clean. Additionally we rented all of the cottages only to find out that one of the units only had a half bathroom. This entire process from start to finish has been a disaster and I do not recommend anyone renting this property. Additionally if I do not recommend renting from VACASA for their lack of customer service to resolve issues. Every time I called, texted or email I was told they "understood my concerns" and they "will work to resolve them" with no actual results.

What i loved about this place was that it is in a prime location. Our grandchildren loved seeing the train go by, and waving at all of the passengers. It is a quaint town.

Loved having our own space and still have everyone right there with a space to eat together in the middle of the cottages. Close to the ocean when ch was a hit with the kids. Very nervous ce cottages. Perfect for our family.

We had the worst experience renting this place. We are a large group renting multiple units. When we got there we were only give codes to 4 units out of 7 units. We had to called customer service again and again to get information that should have been provided to us in the first place. A few units were dirty especially one unit appeared like it hadn’t been rented for years and was so dusty everywhere, we had to call customer service again to ask for a cleaning person to come out and clean. Other units needed furniture update, even the “free” furnitures from Craigslist is probably in a better condition. The room that I stayed in the bed appeared made, but when I uncovered the blanket the sheet appeared it was slept in with a strand of hair on the sheet. Disgusted by it I again called customer service to get a clean sheet. It’s horrible experience, not recommending this place to anyone. I’m not sure why they charge cleaning fees when the place needs cleaning. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone to rent.
