Dog friendly motel with kitchens and kitchenettes and WiFi walk to the beach

We invited 25 members of our family to come celebrate our 40th Anniversary with us at the Oregon Coast so rented the entire hotel. We booked quite early and asked questions to clarify how we would use the facility and got NO answers. This made planning our travel much more difficult. We finally got some communication 2 days before our arrival and had to make some changes to meals to accommodate the new information. Even then many questions went unanswered. We were sent a list of rooms and codes but no explanations. Upon arrival we saw each room had a lock on the door with a key pad so assumed we would use those. THEN we discovered the codes we had been sent were for the key lock boxes by each room and in each box was one single key with no key chain. Knowing we were responsible for returning keys we purchased key chains for family members to put on their keys. However about 1/2 of the codes sent were wrong so we spent hours trying to get all of the rooms open. Luckily Molly, a local property supervisor, arrived and helped us with accurate codes for all but one room. Even though we paid for the entire hotel we could never use 207. We also felt 104 was unsafe to have anyone sleep in because of the odd lock situation but did use it for kitchen. This location has so much potential and worked quite well for our family to be in their own rooms with bathrooms. But family reported beds were quite loud to sleep in and some showers were unusually low. Hotel is very close to beach and shopping and that was enjoyed. Again it was quite challenging o use the keys in the rooms so family often were forced to leave doors unlocked. We are deeply disappointed in the lack of communication from VACASA and the key situation was such a distraction. If Molly hadn't arrived to help we would have been locked out of 1/2 of the rooms. If this is the level of service we can expect from VACASA managed properties we will look elsewhere.

We had 22 in this location! We used room 100 as a meeting spot and to prepare food (though we did use two of the other kitchens to help with the prep). The people’s was clean and right next to the beach and close enough to walk into and around town.
