The unit floor was covered in sand, which soon meant our bedding and everything else soon had sand on it since it was sticking to everything. The front door was unlocked when we got there which was unsettling. The bathroom fan is also being a heater, which gets HOT, especially in August. The singular window only opens 4 inches, giving me concern for proper was a fire safety and limited ventilation. There is no AC. The Tv was pretty small, but worked, and there were two of them stacked up for reasons unknown. We could hear every step upstairs like they were stomping. All of that was still tolerable, it’s not an expensive place, we get it. But when I tried to heat up my dinner in the microwave, the power went out and there was no breaker box in the room. I spent nearly an hour on the phone with vacasa support trying to find someone locally to come flip the breaker (apparently located in another room or office they did not have access to). No one was available to help, which is absolutely negligent. It was not quite 9pm when we lost power and there should be someone on call to address issues like this. I asked if there was a different room we could move to but they couldn’t help with that either. I looked for other hotels to move to but found none close by- and we would have had to pack up in the dark, wake up my child (who was not feeling well) and drive 45 min to Seaside to pay for new room. So we stayed, our phones dead by morning without being able to charge. The mini fridge freezer melted all over the floor by morning, but we mopped it up with some towels and threw away all our food (including my uneaten dinner from the night before). The only saving grace was the bathroom light still worked (not the outlet though!) so at least we had that. So far, a pretty lackluster response from vacasa regarding making this experience right. Very disappointing.
Great location
Everything was ok for the price
It’s close to the beach which was nice but the WiFi was not good, place wasn’t clean and found left over food from previous renters. Beds were noisy. Wash station outside didn’t even work. Overall it was cheap and you got what you paid for but the cleanliness was the biggest complaint and the place needs a deep clean.
Easy walking distance to beach, and town
didn’t get clean ones till the next day, but the lady who brought them was sweet, both beds had hair and crumbs , there were no extra linens i don’t think they cleaned before we came but it’s a cute room next to the beach
