Love this Getaway location! 10 stars! We loved hanging out in the comfy occasional chairs that rotate around to watch the waves out the expansive windows and the changing weather on the ocean. The view of twin rocks to the left and the expansive beach to the right is hard to beat! Excellent easy access to the shoreline for walks during sun breaks on a rainy autumn weekend. The dunes right in front were helpful to assess how strong the wind was at the moment. The kitchen is well stocked, is spacious and served our needs well. Just BYO wine glasses (not uncommon for rentals, unfortunately). The bed was cozy as were the pillows. There are only 2 drawers for clothes and a tiny closet. Bring extra hangars if you have lots of clothes to hang. Bathroom was spacious, towels soft and plenty of counterspace for toiletry bags, hair appliances, etc. however the shower stall was a bit too small for my 6'2" husband (FYI). A large person would be uncomfortable in the small older shower stall. If you are staying in the living room on the Murphy bed, be prepared with good sleep masks/eye covers at the outside light is super bright shining in at night. It does not shine into the bedroom if the bedroom door is closed. Not much walkable food choices except Pronto pup corndogs/fries across Hwy 101, so a quick 15 minute walk/2 minute drive up Hwy 101 to all the eateries downtown. We enjoyed the food trucks and Rick's Roadhouse. Also took the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad trip from Rockaway to Wheeler (definitely be first in line at the NeahKahNie Smokehouse in Wheeler!) There were small inconveniences and still we would definitely stay at this The Getaway space again.
