New House in Quiet Location with Modern Amenities near Beach Lake and Town

Nice quiet location. Had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend.

This house is a comfortable home away from home. A short drive to the beach. Well stocked kitchen. Nice linens and decor.

The home was the perfect size for my friend and me. We loved that it was such a close walk to the beach. Also, it was sooo quiet. Unfortunately we arrived to find bedsheets that appeared unwashed and dirty or stained dingy towels. We also found two lockboxes. The instructions hadn't included which to use and our code didn't work for the obvious one. We eventually figured out how to access the other one, but it was frustration that could have been avoided with better communication. I had messaged the day before we arrived to ask if there was a tea kettle and blender. We didn't receive a reply until the next day when we were already traveling. The house generally needs a deep clean - baseboards, room corners, and door jambs were all dirty. Don't assume the kitchen is stocked, we were surprised to find no cheese grater. The local team (Shannon) was great at providing us with fresh linen. We'll be back to Rockaway Beach, but will likely find a different rental.
