The location to the beach and the over all rustic feel

This house looks great upon arriving and its a stones throw from the beach. Not too far from Rockaway town, walking distance. My family had mixed reviews - mostly just thought the home looked tired inside but it was beach cabin and perfect for a large group of people. The appliances worked (except the icemaker), the beds we used were comfortable for our tastes and there are a lot of rooms so many can stay. The beach was easy to reach via path and it was very quiet (except for sounds of the waves). I think Rockaway itself maybe too quiet for what we wanted but people we met were friendly. We didn't eat out there, make sure to pick up groceries somewhere else although even Tillamook seemed pricey (has nothing to do with the house). Internet worked great at the house, they had games and s'moores sticks for beach cookouts.

This house has amazing potential given the size and location; however, it needs a very deep clean and replacement of mattresses and living room couch. The other living room furniture needs a deep clean. The windows do not open to let in fresh air. The house gets stuffy and musty and surfaces are sticky. There were cobwebs in all of the windows. The carpets need to be ripped out. The curtain in the living room window is in tatters.

Comforter in bedroom downstairs had blood stain and it was also torn. We sent a message at check in. Told they would have someone take care of it. We didn’t hear from anyone till Monday. At that point we had already purchased a new comforter. I believe clean comforter should be something provided. This was a terrible experience with a home and the service provided by Vacasa staff. The home was not very clean. Cobwebs in most corners. Closet in downstairs bedroom clearly has not been opened or used in a long time. So rendering it unusable. The lawn was dead and yellow, part of the booking was the idea of having a lawn for the kids to play after coming back from the beach. That clearly is false advertisement as that lawn appeared to not be maintained. I would not suggest booking this property or using Vacasa. Hope this helps someone from a terrible experience when vacationing.

This house is amazing. It is quirky and rustic but you walk down a 30 yard private trail and you are on that beautiful Oregon coast. 11 and 17 yr old loved body boarding right out in front of the house. Great place to unplug. Beach fires right out front each night. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need including recipes! Only knock was that the cobwebs and window sills as well as some dusting was not great. If you are OK with running a vacuum for a few minutes on arrival this is an amazing deal in Rockport. We will be back!

This is a great, affordable beach house. The sand and view were perfect. The house was comfortable and easily accommodated our group of 10.
