We love this stretch of beach and general location. Aside from the beach right out the door, there are lots of great places to go hiking. The house is kind of funky and old which suits us just fine. I also loved playing a piano (even if it's a little out of tune) and looking at the ocean. What a treat!

End of a dead end outside of town, so very private. The surf can only be seen from the house by a tall person standing up and squinting at the pathway through the dunes. Once inside the door, there’s an extremely uneven slant to the floor covered with a wrinkled, tattered carpet. A definite fall hazard carrying luggage. The piano is out of tune. The kitchen is very well stocked. The master bed is soft, but one window is filthy with mildew growing up the pane. The shower caulk is cracked with two colors of mildew. Comfy furniture.

Hard to beat the beautiful location! House is old and has some quirks. House needs a deep, deep clean. Interior and exterior windows were dirty. Some surfaces were caked with grime. Bathroom faucet had a major drip issue and water poured from the hot water faucet when turned on. I immediately reported this and many other issues, and nothing was done during my week-long stay. Shower curtain was not proper size, had several missing shower hooks, and the ones that remained fell off when the shower curtain was touched. Hand-held combo shower head was broken and fell while I was showering, hitting me on the head and shoulder. Dryer lint screen was stuffed with lint, which can be a fire hazard. Several piles of dog feces in area near front entrance. Nasty Goadhead weeds are making an appearance on street and beach sides of property. They need to be removed immediately and not be allowed to spread. If you ever step on one, you will be in major pain. On the plus side, the master bedroom mattress was extremely comfortable. The kitchen was adequately supplied with dishware, etc. Large refrigerator/freezer. Nice cooktop. Plenty of linens including beach towels. Great deck and the outdoor shower with hot water is an added plus. Hopefully the owners and property management can take care of these and other issues and get Sea Mist in tip-top shape.

You couldn't ask for a better location (at the end of a quiet street with the beach right in your backyard), but the house was old (smells old and everything was pretty shabby), not well kept, and not very clean. We had hair in the bedding, dirty dishes in the cupboard, and dust everywhere. The worst was the only shower wand in the only bathroom was held in place by packing tape and dangled down at a backwards angle so as only to spray backwards at the wall (made for nearly impossible showering). We ended up having a great beach stay and loved the area, but will not return to this particular rental.
