What's nearby: This Oceanside beach cottage is ideal for a family getaway or couples traveling together with kids. It could even be the perfect location for a romantic, oceanfront weekend for two! From the house, beach access just down a sandy path right to the ocean, or make a short three block walk to town, and get on the beach through a public park. You can start your morning with a latte and pastry at Brewin' in the Wind or sit down for heartier breakfast fare at local favorite, Roseanna's Cafe. It's just a 15 minute drive to the larger town of Tillamook for more shopping and dining options, or head south for 40 minutes for gallery browsing and pints of Kiwanda Cream Ale at the Pelican Pub & Brewery in Pacific City. The home was nicely appointed, clean, and had gorgeous ocean views. Loved the deck and hot tub. Things to know: 1. There is NO cell coverage on AT&T and Verizon. Save your door code and WiFi information ahead. 2. It does not have direct beach access. You have to walk a few minutes to get to proper steps/ramp to the beach. There are a few trails closer but they are a little steep and hard to carry beach chairs, etc down. 3. The door code provided for us did not work. If I were to return, I would proactively request the backup key box code (which is what we had to use the whole weekend). Contacting customer service could only be achieved via email over WiFi due to no cellular coverage which presented challenges gaining initial entry. 4. The kitchen is generally well appointed. If you plan to bake, bring your own baking sheet, the available baking pans were rusty. Otherwise everything was great. 5. If you like cozy blankets, bring your own. The linens are nice but there aren’t extra blankets. 6. Bathrooms have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and bar soap available. The washer and dryer have detergent available and are very clean.

Cozy little house with amazing views! It was clean and had everything we needed. The only negative we could think of is maybe the setup of the living room isn’t super cozy for more than a couple of people to be able to really kick back in a comfortable couch or recliner or the like. Keep in mind that this does not have direct beach access — you have to go down the road, which is maybe a 5 minute walk. But, being up higher gives you amazing views!

A perfect house to visit the coast and family during the holidays. The kitchen was amply stocked, the gas fireplace warmed the space, and the view was absolutely beautiful. We will be back.
