This is the second time I’ve stayed here. The view is epic whether you’re on the deck or cooking in the kitchen, which might be my favorite part. It’s either that or the dimmer switches, which allow for a nice ambiance. I can’t wait to come back!
We spent five days at this beautiful home and had a wonderful time. Our first full day was rainy, but the heated floors downstairs and both fireplaces made it cozy and relaxing. The rest of the trip brought gorgeous weather, so we spent most of our time outdoors enjoying the scenery. We traveled as a group of two adults and four kids (ages 10, 6, 4, and 1), and here are some takeaways from our stay: The house itself is warm, welcoming, and offers stunning views from both the top and middle levels. There were plenty of cozy blankets and a nice selection of games to keep us entertained on the rainy day — very fitting for Oregon! A few things to note for future visitors: There were only four towels available, which wasn’t quite enough for our group of six. We ended up using beach towels they had, which worked in a pinch, though they were a bit rough. Also, be aware that the house has quite a few stairs. With a one-year-old, we had to stay extra alert. The home isn’t stocked with baby or toddler essentials (like a Pack-N-Play, high chair, kid-friendly utensils, cups, or bibs), so we brought our own — and were glad we did. There are also lots of little things that curious toddlers can get into, so just be prepared to keep an eye out. We cooked several meals at the house using both the kitchen and the grill, and it had everything we needed. There were plenty of pots, pans, and cooking utensils, along with multiple cutting boards and mixing bowls that made meal prep easy. The oven and stovetop worked great, and we didn’t feel like we were missing anything — it was well-stocked for family cooking. That said, we had an amazing time. The whole family loved the walk down to the beach — a bit steep, but very manageable, even with the baby (we just carried her). Running along the beach, collecting shells, and soaking in the ocean air was such a joy. We even saw a bald eagle a couple of time on the beach and from the house. On our last night, we had a bonfire on the beach with s’mores — a truly unforgettable experience we’ll always treasure. The house also has a cozy entertainment room, perfect for watching movies or relaxing after a long day. It would work well as a baby space too, as long as you bring your own baby bed. The blackout curtains in all rooms were a great touch — everyone slept in a little longer thanks to the dark, restful environment. Overall, it’s a fantastic home for a family getaway. If the hosts added a few kid-friendly items, it would be a perfect 10/10 for families. But even without them, with a little preparation, it was an ideal spot to relax, explore, and make memories.
Absolutely love the view and ocean sounds while sleeping. Love the push button fire place.
The view is amazing. Very comfortable home. We will book again.
A beautiful house overlooking the beach with excellent amenities. The views from all levels of the house of the ocean and beach are spectacular. We were fortunate to watch whales from the house during our visit. Seeing the whales is not guaranteed. The house has easy access to the beach which, for us, is desirable. We are looking forward to our next visit.
The view is beautiful, and the stars spectacular.
