We have stayed at the same property, maybe 5 to 7 times over the years. Each time has been pleasant and nice until this time. Have also interacted with the manager who I guess is not there anymore. Last time we were there, two years ago, Bridget, the manager at that point was great. Had some problems with our unit and went up to the office and she took care of it. This time, the noise levels in the entire complex in the middle of the night seemed unacceptable and a little out of control. Literally had people partying in the middle of the night many times, out on balconies talking, laughing at 2-3 AM with no repercussions. Also seemed like there was a lot of people smoking on the balconies of the units(supposed to be non smoking?) and smoke coming in the middle of the night also from fires burning on the property in the fire pits. We’re not talking at 10 PM, we’re talking like 2 in the morning! Made it hard to keep the door open if you’re sensitive to that and there is no AC. Also went to the office that was supposed to have posted hours multiple times to discuss some of this while there over a week and a half. Each time it was closed during those posted open hours. Just feel like there’s not a lot of on-site presence at this point and control. And of course, that just makes the place less relaxing for sure and could present other issues as well. Also, you could literally have 100+ dogs staying in that entire complex! And other times we’ve been there they have a designated dog area behind the whale complex. However, for some reason, the people who have the lower unit think that the entire large two level grassy area goes with their unit! Taking our dog there multiple times we got both dirty looks and they even stuck chairs in the pet area! That’s really the only area established as a pet area specifically on the whole property based on past trips there. And considering they allow up to four pets per unit, you can imagine how many dogs could be there at one time or another during the summer. The area needs to have a permanent placard put back on the sign again where it’s worn off stating specifically it’s a pet area so the people staying in the whale understand that’s not part of their unit. There is also a strip of grass up by where the smoking area is in the parking lot. however, there is so much un picked up crap there our dog basically did not like to even go to the bathroom! That really needs to be kept clean also and watered if they’re expecting people to take their dogs out there as well. On the plus side, the unit was nice and of good value as usual when we go there. And it was clean. I feel like they’re starting to be some issues a little bit with the overall on site management of the place considering the office is never open and the noise problems late at night.
Unfortunately very dirty. Would not stay here again. Dog hair everywhere. Baseboards so gross and dirty. Walls dirty. Shower has zero water pressure. Was told housekeeping would drop off shampoo and shower wash that was empty in the shower but they never did. And we were there 3 nights.
Clean room, but very noisy and check out is very early!!
Loved the nearby access to the beach, was very quiet.
