First, we got an email saying we had 12 hours to check in or our reservation would be cancelled. That was much too narrow a window; we didn't even see the email in the first 24 hours. When we went to check in, we repeatedly got error messages and eventually had to call someone. When we got through, she said it was all taken care of and we were good to go. Then we got an email saying our reservation had been cancelled because they couldn't verify our identities (even though we have booked through Vacasa before and sent all the required documents). About half an hour after that, while I was on perpetual hold with Vacasa, we got yet another email saying we were checked in. Ultimately, we left home about an hour and a half later than we wanted because we had to spend so long just checking in. The room was fine -- part of a hotel, essentially. It was clean and there was appropriate furniture. Wifi was iffy (kept dropping us), and there was no dish soap or sponges to clean dishes, and no pads to take hot things out of the oven. Otherwise, it was pretty well stocked with the things we needed. Oddly, the exact same picture appeared in one bedroom and two walls in the main room.
It was a good place especially for the beach. Parking is crazy but over all good
It wasn't very clean but it was located in a good spot, cute little place for a short stay.
Location was great maintenance department painted over oil based paint and paint peeling off caulking over holes in wall instead of drywall paste paint splatters going up and down stairs looks awful
Cheap nightly rate. "Cleaning" fees are ridiculous for a place that isn't clean. Mold on the windows, buggers on the wall, dishes were dirty, found stuff left behind by previous guest. Definitely need to check reviews before booking because they obviously didn't fix anything that was complained about previously. Microwave didn't work, heater in one of the rooms didn't work. No screens on the windows. It's old and unlevel. It did fit 6 of us and it had a stove and refrigerator, so that was a plus
I loved the location but my reservations the rooms were decent but 3 times I extended my stay and 2 times I ended up locked out of my rental due to the fact I was never told me the door code would change at the end of my original reservation, the 3rd time I extended I called and explained the situation from the first 2 times and I was promised my new code but after almost 48 hours I had to call the support line again to make sure I got a new code before leaving to keep from being locked out. Also there was a smoke detector going off from on the 23rd 24th of December I called the night of the 24th due to not being able to get more then a couple hours of sleep and it being Christmas that morning. I asked about some gratuity towards the complications of my stay partial refund? Extended stay? Anything and I was told to contact the front office of where I was staying but that's to no avail because the office was closed. I'm going to reach out to vacasa and try to figure out why I was told to contact the people on site when there not the ones I payed for a vacation rental plus the office want open. I've spent a good amount of money with vacasa just this last month plus prior stays to feel like the problems I had during my stay were just swept under the rug without any consideration to make it right.
