Overall, this is a very roomy house with a nice ocean view from the top deck and decent accessibility to the beach (about 2 blocks away for the nearest access). The house was well appointed with lots of dishes, pans, towels, and expendables (paper towels, TP, garbage bags, dish & hand soap). Some of the cookware was a bit in poor shape but we were able to cook fine without any issues. We did have to improvise to light the bbq, which was a little disappointing and frustrating when we had a large group waiting for lunch. At the price point, we felt the house could have generally been in better shape but we were comfortable and did enjoy our stay. There are plenty of beds and space for multiple families (2-3), so I'd call this a 5+ bedroom house, just wish there was more attention to detail
Lots of room. Stayed here with 10 people, living rooms are large and there is plenty of bedrooms. Would definitely stay again.
All the art throughout the house. Particularly lighthouses and nautical theme. Ocean view was great!
I would definitely stay in this house again. We had a family reunion with eight people. Everybody loved the house.
This house was large with wonderful spaces. We've had a lot of vacation rentals over the years (Vacasa, Airbnb, VRBO) so I have a lot of room for comparison. Quick summary: The top floor has 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a living room, and a deck with stunning views of the ocean. The main floor has a kitchen, eating nook, large living room, large table, full bathroom, 3 bedrooms, and a porch (street level) with chairs that caught the sun. The basement has a laundry room, kitchenette, full bathroom, and a small sitting room with a Murphy bed (perfect for our son who wanted his own space). Pluses: • The size of the home! This large home had lots of room to spread out but the main floor was big enough for us all to be together. • The ocean was close by (across the street from the row of houses/hotels that were oceanfront.) It was about a 1 block walk to public beach access. The beach was deep and sandy in a quieter part of the Lincoln City shoreline. • The garage was accessible for storing boogie boards, wetsuits, etc. • Bonus, there were 3 full sized refrigerator/freezers. So handy for beverages and ingredients we wanted to set aside for meals during the week. Challenges: • The kitchen is an elbow style and pretty small for a large group (which we were). Lots of tripping over each other, waiting for someone to move to open the refrigerator, cupboard, dishwasher, etc. • There were a lot of dishes but all pretty poor quality and not very fun to cook with or use. This was out of alignment with the rest of the house and should be looked into. In fact, the whole house had an air of no one caring for it (although things were generally in good repair). None of the amenities one usually finds (tissue boxes, some left behind detergent, etc) were present in this home. It had a miserly feel. • The parking situation was a challenge. 4 cars max at all times, hard stop. 2 of the cars are in a very narrow driveway at the side of the house (hard to get the inside car out). One of the 4 is in the garage! (also pretty inaccessible). Lincoln city is not a walking town so cars were needed for every errand. The folks on the outside just got their cars used by everyone. • The area is dense. We thought it would have a neighborhood feel but we were surrounded by hotels and multi-unit complexes. Most of them seemed to be rentals. It felt crowded. • Lastly, this is probably not the norm but we arrived to damp smelly towels in the dryer (about 2.5 loads worth) and only one or two in the bathrooms, no kitchen towels. It took the entire first full day to wash and dry them because of dryer eccentricities (possible minor malfunction) that I finally found a work around for. Vacasa seemed responsive by text but I ultimately figured it out on my own. That was pretty annoying and not something I wanted to be worrying about on the first day of my vacation. Over all it was a great home if the challenges are ones that will work for your group.
It was perfect for a family vacation of 11 ( six adults and five children). Plenty of room, beautiful view of the ocean and great location.
