The house itself was prepared to serve our every need.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend. In short, the place was not cleaned when we got there. We found 3 separate food items left over from previous guests (Taco Bell burrito under fireplace, macaroni, gummy candy on the floor), dirty shower curtain (pink bacteria), and a live bug crawling inside the fridge). Towel racks/bars loose from wall, thin blankets, couch cushions that constantly slide off, no curtains on kitchen windows or upstairs windows, and an unlocked garage when we arrived. Also slow wifi. I will say that I did enjoy the decorations. In conclusion, it’s not the worst place to stay, but there are many, many better places to stay, so I would not recommend unless there are no other options.
We really enjoy the design of the house with the crow's nest and extra rooms. Had a nice time relaxing with a few trips to the park and the beach.
The view
The home was nice and clean, with crisp clean sheets on the beds. The kitchen is well equipped and the home is comfortably furnished with a calming blue and white beach theme throughout. The lighthouse-like tower is a cool feature - there are two levels in the tower which are great for enjoying your morning coffee or hanging out in the evening to watch the sunset. The layout is unusual, but easy enough to work with. The main entrance (where you’ll use your door code) leads up to the tower and also has access to the rest of the house via the primary/master bedroom. So, whoever uses that bedroom will want to leave it open for others to pass through during the day. It’s also worth noting that the hot water heater is in the closet of the room with the bunk beds. It makes noise anytime anyone uses hot or cold water in the house - it’s quiet once everyone’s gone to bed for the night though. Still, you might not want to put someone easily awakened by sound in that room. It’s also worth noting that this part of the Oregon coast is marked by cliffs and so, while the beach may look close, you can’t simply walk down to the beach from the house. If you like walking, I’d say the most pleasant way to get to the beach is to walk south a ways from the house and find your way to the beach access to continue your walk along the beach there. If you are bringing the family and all their gear to enjoy time at the beach, I’d say drive (not walk) a little ways north of the house and find the beach parking lot there.
The house was clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen.
