Took a Girls trip with my best friend and our daughters. The girls were so excited to stay in this house and the picture don’t do it justice! It was welcoming and comfortable. We didn’t use the outside amenities as we went during a huge storm but hope to return when it’s a bit nicer outside. Beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets and pillows for your added comfort. It was a quiet neighborhood and close to the beach. Overall, we had a great experience!
Was easy to find and to get into, had lots of space and would be great for kids☺️ street was nice and private, fire pit in the back yard was great( possibly larger chairs )more dry wood at hand would be nice. Back porch was great 👍
Hey future renters - heads up on this one. We stayed at Kat'z Place last year and loved having the full house, including the upstairs master bedroom and bath. Fast forward to this year: same booking, 20% higher price, but surprise - the owners closed off the master suite for their own use and added a private balcony that frankly killed the home's charm. The listing photos hadn't been updated to reflect these changes, and honestly, in 30 years of vacation rentals, we've never had to double-check if the same property suddenly had fewer rooms. Our bad for not anticipating this, but also - who does this without clearly communicating the changes? This nearly derailed our week. We had to cancel friends joining us mid-trip once we realized the space wouldn't work. Vacasa was unhelpful when we called to address the situation. Look, I get that owners want to use their own property - that's fair. But rebrand it, update your photos, and set proper expectations. Don't let returning guests discover major changes at check-in. The remaining space is decent but cramped for the price point. Kitchen has good bones (induction stove, sharp knives, solid layout) but cheap cookware. New living room furniture is nice. Shared bathroom between the two remaining bedrooms works for kids but isn't ideal for adults. Backyard maintenance appears neglected, and they downgraded from a quality BBQ to a small, cheap unit. Bottom line: there are more honest and better-appointed options in the area. We won't be back.
Was very peaceful and enjoyable the walk to the beach was right down the road and it was great we truly loved the experience and definitely recommend a visit we would love to make it a yearly family get away
We real liked the location. We were able to go up and down the coast in a short amount of time. When the tide was low, the island was a lot if fun.
