Cape Meares Beach Getaway

This Cape Meares vacation rental will be sure to please you on your next adventure to the Oregon Coast. This house boasts views of the ocean and rocky coastline with the beach just steps away. Inside you will find a newly remodelled interior including new appliances. There is also a wood stove and heat pump so you will be comfortable no matter what the weather is like outside. You can access the beach just across the gravel road in front of the house. Or head down the road to the north to Cape Meares Beach where you will find hiking trails and Cape Meares Lake. Tillamook is eight miles to the east where you will find major shopping, groceries, necessities, and more. Visit the world-famous Tillamook Creamery and indulge in some delicious cheese. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

the good: we truly loved the view & quiet of staying on Cape Meares Beach. the views & proximity to the ocean are wonderful. the house is great for 2 people with up to two kids, it would not work well for more adults as there is a double bed & then two very small/short mattresses in a bunkbed in a very small room. the bad: house was not clean- dog hair all over the couch, crumbs on the floor & counters, dust & hair on most surfaces, and used crumpled tissues under the beds. the fridge & bathrooms were relatively clean but everything else was not. the couch is dingy & stained in addition to being covered in dog hair. the pots & pans are all chipping non-stick material & many of the dishes & items in the kitchen had food crust on them/were unclean. overall, I am not certain we would stay here again & if we did, we would bring our own cleaning supplies & cookware. it sounds like this is a recurring issue from a few other reviews & I hope that the host can improve the space's cleanliness as it would be a wonderful place to stay if not for these issues!

I've stayed here 3 times and unfortunately, this place is not as nice as it once was. It's not cleaned well, things need updating, paint (inside) and repairs. I hope this and other similar reviews with help because we really love this place but unsure if we'll book again or look for something else nearby.
