Shipwreck

Named for the shipping containers it's built from, this Pacific City home is a modern, sustainable coastal getaway unlike any other. Newly built in 2023, Shipwreck places you mere steps from the beach - and gives you a sleek and polished retreat to return to each afternoon. This tiny home was locally built by Oregon's own Relevant Building Company, which specializes in sustainable living. It boasts a prime location in Pacific City, with the south public beach access a quarter-mile away (about seven minutes on foot) and the north public beach access within three-quarters of a mile. Spanning 700 square feet of all-new furnishings, this home is ideal for a couple or two, a small family, or a solo traveler exploring the Oregon Coast. We welcome up to two dogs to join you, provided they are housebroken. Your dogs will have access to water and food bowls, dedicated dog towels, waterproof blankets, and a fenced yard equipped with pet waste disposal bags for cleaning up after your pup. After a gorgeous day at the Cape Kiwanda beach, the home of the other haystack rock, return to Shipwreck to barbeque on the deck, swap stories around the firepit, and relax amidst its cool, contemporary decor. The home features a chic, well-appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a versatile dining table suitable for board games or puzzles, and TVs in both the living room and primary bedroom. The home is equipped with WiFi and Hulu Live streaming for guests to enjoy, and both TVs allow guests to log in to their own streaming platforms, such as Netflix. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 PM. Check-out time: 10:00 AM. All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. Two dogs permitted so long as the guests agree to a zero-evidence pet waste policy.

Took my wife and my son here for the weekend. The interior is a picture perfect representation of a beach home. Little touches made it all the more enjoyable for my son and the amenities were absolutely amazing. No issues, very clean, and a super fun concept. Will definitely be coming back!

We really enjoyed our stay in Pacific City! The pros definitely outweighed the cons: great location, quiet surroundings, super smooth check-in and checkout process, and the house was well-stocked with everything we needed. The decor was charming both inside and out, and we especially appreciated the nice TVs and the indoor/outdoor games provided. A few minor gripes (mostly personal preferences): the hairdryer was cheap and didn’t have a nozzle, and there were no Kleenex provided. My husband and I found the beds and pillows to be a little uncomfortable. We brought our two small dogs with us, and they weren’t fans of the gravel, there is some grass in the backyard, but I often had to carry them over to it. When we arrived, there was quite a bit of pet hair on the furniture and floors, likely from the previous guests, so I did end up vacuuming and tidying up a bit more. Lastly, while everything was functional, it lacked a personal touch—something like a welcome note or a couple of local snacks or beers would’ve made it feel more inviting. Overall, it’s a great place with lots to love, and with a few small tweaks, it could be even better.

The house was very inviting and cozy. We had everything we needed. The amenities were better than expected especially in the kitchen. The accommodations (beds, couch, and chairs) were very comfortable making relaxing so much easier. We will most definitely be returning to this house.
