This house was perfectly setup to host our family of 7. Plenty of beds and room space, extra bedding for cool nights, beautiful bathrooms and spacious kitchen for breakfast and lunch. We appreciated the use of the washer and dryer after daily beach tours with small children! Decks were perfect for fresh roasted coffee sipping enjoyment. Parking is tricky if you leave mid-day, there will be no space in front of the home if you do. But not a huge inconvenience, such is summer in a beach town with no reserved parking.

We were able to watch whales and seals from the deck which was pretty awesome. Only gripe, the photos in the listing of the downstairs bathroom and bedroom don’t match.

My husband and parents rented out the entire place for a winter retreat and it was absolutely perfect. My husband and I had stayed in the upper unit before and immediately fell in love with the location and house. This time we rented the entire space to have room for my parents and we could have easily had one more couple join us. There is so much space for everyone to lounge around and find privacy if needed. You cannot beat this location either. We had perfect sunny weather but even if it was stormy during our visit, we would have been absolutely content in the main living room. This time around we spent more time visiting local shops and restaurants that are all walking distance and I fell in even more love with Depoe Bay. The locals are so friendly but if you’re visiting like we were, please continue to show them respect and friendliness. We also visited the whale watching center and were met with a knowledgeable volunteer who taught us a lot about grey whales. If you’re on the fence about renting this space, I can promise you won’t regret choosing to stay here!
