Dog friendly ocean view cabin with fireplace kitchenette deck and beach access

Cabin not really a cabin but a divided studio. This rental appeared to have been recently renovated and tastefully decorated. I found it clean and cozy. But...There was no appreciable view. I could see the sunset in the reflections of the apartment blocking the ocean. It's a short walk to the shore but no beach. It was so small there was no place to put our luggage. The love seat was old and stained and you would just slide down when sitting. There was a large ottoman that filled the space. The bed was a memory foam punch bowl. Two people and we sank too deep to be comfortable. One person could sleep on the edge. The ottoman was the most comfortable for sitting and sleeping. The kitchenette had a dorm fridge, microwave, bar sink and new coffee maker but no coffee was provided, not even local samples. Some cups on a shelf, thrift store plates and flatware were in a drawer but no spoon. Internet would just drop and was quite variable. It's a good thing we came in our compact car as parking was tight and steep. Not much desirable for local food. Tidal Raves is a short walk and offers great views and decent food. C'est La Vie is a 4 mile drive for a delicious breakfast. Local shopping is all Depoe Bay branded tourist merchandise. We took the whale watching tour boat and did see a few whales. Depoe Bay was a random choice, but I wouldn't choose it again.

This is a cozy bungalow just a short walk to town and the ocean. Very quiet and clean. A few things to keep in mind. The parking is very tight, compact cars fit best. The WiFi isn’t the greatest, working from here isn’t easy (but come on who wants to work when you’re at the coast!) If there are two people the bed sags in the middle. Not a deal breaker but if you don’t like cuddling then you might not like it. All that said, I would stay here again, as it was a great location with a small view of the ocean!

I really liked the functional space, the location, quiet neighborhood, and closeness to the ocean, shops, and restaurants!

Great location. Close to everything. Cottage had everything we needed. Would only hope they change the mattress out soon and it is super saggy in the middle.

It was close to the sea wall and restaurants. Everything is within walking distance!
