This house was NOT recently updated as advertised. Beautiful house - yes. But it has clearly been ignored for many years. Deck outside is in terrible condition and not safe to hang out on. Inside there is a mold problem (yes I have pictures), in the entry way skylights that have clearly been leaking for a long time. There is a bad leak and mold problem in the kitchen sink area and we saw/smelled bad mold under the counter. Two of the three bathrooms we did not feel comfortable using, one smelled like pee and the other wouldn't even flush. The master bedroom was FREEZING and the heater that did heat the rest of the house, did not blow air into the bedroom - we checked all of the registers. There are water leak stains in the bedroom ceiling. Around the master bed, it was dirty and gross. The bed itself is so worn, that there are two deep divots where people sleep and a mountain in between that is impossible to climb if you want to snuggle with your partner/spouse - also uncomfortable. The "jetted tub" does not work. No directions at all about how to use anything in the house, so we called the customer service number and they promised someone would come out and fix it. We waited days and nobody came, so couldn't use that feature which we were VERY disappointed about. And like other users have said, the kitchen is not set up to be able to function and cook, and it has very little other than dishes to use, so good luck trying to cook anything easily in the house while you are there. The toilet paper is so rough you might not even want to use it, so bring your own. The other thing is that this house is advertised as 4 bedrooms and it is NOT. There are two rooms that are legit bedrooms, the master and a guest. There is a random little side room, with a twin couch thing, and the intake for the furnace is right outside that rooms door, which conveniently banged really loudly every few minutes as the furnace cycles on and off. So that person couldn't even sleep - it was bad. The fourth "bedroom" is a casita, that is separate from the house itself. So don't think that you can have a large group stay here comfortably, that is NOT the case. I would say that in the house, you could have 4 people comfortable, if the bathroom issues were fixed. This place just gave the impression that it has been neglected for a long time, and they rent it out for high fees because they can, and the house was clearly once very beautiful - still is in some ways, like the large living room, beautiful redwood table, and the huge fireplace. But really, this is not advertised accurately and is WAY overpriced for the overpromising and underdelivering. We did not feel welcome, and were pretty disappointed. Def won't be back to this place.

Every year our immediate family gets together the day after Christmas until the day after New Years for our annual get together. This is the best house ever. It rained a little while we were there but that was fine because there was a lovely stone fireplace and plenty of wood. Very cozy. The grounds and had walking 0athsvthrou
