We loved everything about this cozy little escape in the redwoods. Perfect secluded, romantic getaway just a short bike ride or drive to the ocean. Beautiful walk in shower and outdoor tub. Wood burning stove for warmth and ambiance, fully equipped kitchen and a great little loft upstairs for sleeping. Very nice little spot and would highly recommend if your a couple looking for a little hideaway for the weekend.
Stayed in this small cabin in Fort Bragg, CA, surrounded by the woods. It was very quiet and secluded, with just a couple of neighbors nearby. The cabin was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. There was no TV (only WiFi), which made it a nice break from screens. The heater worked great and kept the space warm. No coffee was provided, but we brought our own tea and that worked out well. Overall, a peaceful and comfortable stay—perfect for anyone looking for a simple getaway in nature.
My wife and I just stayed at this location this past weekend July 26-28th 2025 and we had an absolute blast. The cabin was very clean, the location is only five minutes away from the beach & town, but you wouldn't know it from where you were staying due to the breathtaking views of the lush redwood forest around you. The environment was very silent which we appreciated, and the hands off approach to guest check in/out was greatly appreciated. Definitely going to go back and also recommend it to my friends!
Staying here was a piece of heaven! We really enjoyed the nature setting in the Redwoods and being in a rustic cabin with all of the modern amenities. It had everything we needed and more! We will definitely be coming back and absolutely loved the location with nearby state parks within a couple of miles.
Cabin is very nice but bedroom is frigid. If you are prepared with your own quilts you will be very comfortable.
The whole family (two adults, a 5yo and 2.5yo) loved our time at Hearthwood. It is a very comfortable space with plenty of places to sleep and relax. It was a treat to have such a well-appointed kitchen, we prepared the majority of our meals there. The bathroom was also filled with luxurious touches -- the kids LOVED the outdoor bathtub. It was so close to town, to the beach and to trails that got us out to see the redwoods and the banana slugs.
