This property has incredible potential. The midcentury architecture is truly one-of-a-kind—full of character and perched in a location that offers stunning, unobstructed ocean views. The design alone makes it memorable and worth considering for anyone who appreciates vintage style. However, the interior could use some updates. While the space feels nostalgic, much of it feels dated in a way that affects comfort. Some of the furniture is worn, and the kitchen essentials—especially the pans and utensils—are in need of replacement. Cleanliness was acceptable but not up to the standard you'd expect at this price point. With a little investment in maintenance and some modern touches, this home could be a five-star gem. Until then, it’s best suited for those who value architectural charm and location over modern comforts.

Overall, would stay here again! My fiancé and I stayed here with two other couples for a week. There was enough space for everyone to have privacy but great communal areas when we all wanted to be together. The outside patio area of the main house is amazing and the view is spectacular! The downstairs bedroom in the main house does not have a door, but we actually found that to not be an issue-sounds didn’t really travel in the house. There is no bathroom on the bottom floor, however (the closest bathroom is on the main level where the kitchen and living room are), so keep that in mind. The fireplaces in the main house were not working during our stay, which was a bummer, and we weren’t given much advance notice about that. Hopefully, they will have those working again soon. The smaller house is super cute and cozy and the fireplace worked great in there. The large bed in the smaller house wasn’t very comfortable (seemed to not have great supports in place), so FYI. But, overall, we had an amazing time and would stay here again!

The million-dollar view speaks for itself. The house has great bones, but the lack of maintenance was very depressing for me. To have such beautiful surroundings, and stay in a home that shows no pride of ownership was sad. One bathroom the plumbing was scattered all around the tub with a sticky note, mentioning that the tub was out of service. The living room rug looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for quite some time and has many stains The beautiful deck had pots on it, that were rusted out on the bottom and falling apart. This beautiful place could be absolutely stunning if it was maintained properly and should be marketed as a “Weathered 70s cabin on a cliff, rustic never maintained” If you like to take a vacation and experience a home that hasn’t been maintained since the 1970s this would be a great place for you to take a vacation. Definitely over priced for considering the lack of care and attention to detail.

We had an incredible stay at this home. The views were absolutely stunning, the beds comfortable, and the sound system for watching movies at night by the fire on the projector was awesome. There was ample firewood to last for the entire stay and it was a nice touch to have the fireplaces prepared when we arrived. There were A LOT of kitchen appliances, but the glassware was lacking. Because there are so many drawers, it could use a bit of organization so things were grouped better and able to be found more easily. We also ran out of propane for the grill (only used once) so that would have been nice to have been checked before we arrived. The tub/shower in the main house upstairs wouldn't drain, so we didn't get to use it, but otherwise everything was very clean and operated fine. It would also help to have the light switches labeled as it was a mystery sometimes trying to tell what we were turning on and off. We were well stocked with supplies, and I'm glad we were as the store prices are really high and have limited selections. I needed blackberries to make a dessert, but luckily I found a bush to pick some fresh ones! The little town is very small and cute. I'd recommend stopping in the little museum to learn about Elk and its origins. Overall, it was a wonderful home and I hope to return again next summer.
