Take a moment to write out postcards or record moments in your journal at the desk or watch the big game together on the cable-equipped TV before the new sofa and comfy armchair. Play cards or a board game at the four-seat table before the wall of windows - or you can simply gaze out at the spectacular view beckoning you to comb for pebbles in the sand. This den also doubles as a room for children to have a sleepover on the sofabed. Two more bedrooms are available on this floor, each with memory foam queen beds. Upstairs is the living room with brand new furnishings, kitchen, and more bedrooms. The living room has a second TV and sofabed - a perfect room for close friends to have an old-school sleepover if they want! Of course, this space also has huge windows with panoramic views of the ocean. Make popcorn or even a Sunday dinner around the solid wood table in the fully stocked kitchen. Complete with all new stainless steel appliances, this kitchen provides all that you need. Pop a bottle of local wine to share on the upper deck while the kids play freely on the sprawling yard below. This property is solar-powered and has a generator, so if the rest of the town is without power, this home will still have electricity and be nice and toasty! If you've never explored the area, take a mini road trip down the coast for a day trip to Mendocino and Albion, the latter about 20 miles from the home. Since Fort Bragg is definitely the biggest town on the northern coast, you'll have the pleasure of finding little, hidden gems in the smaller towns you find along the drive. Nature walks and farm stands dot the area for a true California experience you can't get in the big cities. You can't beat the location of this Northern California Coast vacation rental! Come see for yourself how beautiful the area is from your own private getaway! Great view, close to town, beautiful walking trails either direction, private, comfortable for a large group.
We loved waking up to the sound of the surf and later watching the beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed our stay here. It very easily accommodated our party of 10. Though the home could use some maintenance ( carpet cleaning, screen door repair, painting), it is easy to overlook those in such a beautiful setting. There were plenty of dishes for preparing meals and eating them at the home. The living room had lots of seating for a big group. It was also a short walk to the trail that led to the beach from the house. There were multiple deck areas to enjoy sitting outdoors. We all enjoyed our time here, and perhaps we will get back again in the future.
This home worked very well accommodating our family of eleven. Although the hot tub was broken, promised a credit never received. Thle HVAC was broken. The system blew hot air the whole ymtime we were there even with system turned off. The lower was freezing. This would a wonderful home but the maintenance is not being done at all!
A peaceful August night on the California Coast with a radiant pink Sun setting in the West and a Bright Full Moon rising in the East simultaneously; Magnificent! The home itself had many well thought out design and decent household amenities. The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean, however, the property is evidently 'Pet Friendly' and the numerous carpet stains of of 'pet accidents' contradicts the ridgid shoe removal policy. I love the feel of bare feet on a soft clean carpet and respect the sensible request of removing one shoes for sanitation or esthetics, but, allowing the carpet to be used as a kennel is to me at least, was not what I wanted. The galaxy of forgotten carpet stains (human or animal) was a real fail for me and I would not recommend for anyone (and you know who you are) might find the shoe removal carpet rules a bit rich. Again, the design the lay out and the construction design and workmanship was generally good, except for the lack of crosswind ocean ventilation prevented by so many fixed windows some of which needed replacement anyway.
For our family gathering this home was wonderful! It fit all of us comfortably! You can’t beat the views, sunset, and stars!!
Very clean, immediate response when we needed questions answered, amazing view, and very relaxing time!
