We stay at The Hawaiian Inn almost every year and this was the worst experience we have had there. The ten digit code to get in is impossible to memorize and if not quick enough then you need to try many times. It took at least three to five times to enter. This caused an overall panic and forced us to take our phones even downstairs to the pool. One time we were left outside in the rain with all our medications and other belongings in the room. Luckily my husband had his phone and I was able to look up Vacasa and we were given an alternate code. The condo itself was in need of repair. We had concerns with mold. The kitchen cabinets were falling apart and barely hanging on. The bedroom drawers were small and flimsy so we did not even bother to unpack. There was no local cable tv at all. The microwave was disgusting. The shower head could not be turned off. I am not in the habit of writing bad reviews so I will mention the positives also. The view was awesome!!!! The Tiki Bar out back has great drinks and food. The pool is large and allows floats. The room did have extras including a humidifier, extra fans, a heater for winter (I guess), sand chairs, iron and extra hair dryer. The obvious reason we will not stay in this room again is the difficulty of the coded entrance. We will stay at the Hawaiian but not Room 422.

This listing stated the room sleeps a total of four. The pull out sofa couch was not fully functional. Due to wear and tear, part of it leaned down, creating an impossible sleeping situation, and we had to double up into one tiny section that did work. One of the plates I not in the cupboard was covered with mold. I was shocked. I wouldn't say it was just from moisture, moreso from not being washed after use. The kitchenette has mold along the cupboards. The shower water in this hotel burned my eyes. That had never happened to me before. This room was decorated nicely, but is in need of some serious updates. I also started to sneeze because the building is old and the air in there was not agreeing with me, causing allergies. I overall felt very sad in this unit. Plenty of other guests looked content, so either it's a me thing or there are other nicer rooms. I had to leave this place due to the lack of sleep from the slanted couch. I did get a partial refund but lost booking fees. Ocean view was nice.
