I planned a trip to the Outer Banks for my girlfriend's birthday and we had an amazing time. The house was really big and spacious with a very nice layout. There are a few reasons that my rating didn't make it quite to 5 stars. The beautiful kitchen had lots of pots, pans, silverware and glasses. There was a lack of spices, foil, oil... Just a bunch of things you'd use. I ended up personally purchasing items to make do. The hot tub control panel had buttons not working properly. The mode button moves the temperature down with no buttons working to turn it back up. The hot tub was not very 'hot' for the rest of the trip. The pool table had minor issues with warping, the felt was very worn and only one pool cue was operational, the others had broken tips. The issues I've found with this place are all things that I feel could be very easily remedied for future guests. The house was absolutely stunning and I had a great trip. I would recommend this place to friends and would most definitely return. A few things in the house just need a little bit of love.

Ah, the beach—the salty air, the crashing waves, the soothing sound of water dripping directly onto the master bed through a leaky ceiling on night one. Romantic, right? That is, if your idea of romance is moving the soaking sheets aside and relocating to separate couches like post-argument newlyweds. As a combat veteran with a back held together by grit and duct tape, sleeping on the couch wasn’t just uncomfortable—it was physically punishing. Nothing says “relaxing beach getaway” like reactivating an old spinal injury. But wait—there’s more! The local wildlife (cockroaches and ants, specifically) also checked in. Apparently, they had no problem finding the bathrooms, because that’s where the ants staged their takeover. As for the roaches, they didn’t even try to hide. Bold little guys. Between the leaky roof, bug brigade, and back-wrecking furniture, the only thing this place was good for was testing my marriage, my spine, and my will to stay civil in a review. Would I stay here again? Only if the roof gets fixed, the pest control gets serious, and someone invents a couch that doubles as a chiropractor.

Awesome environment and set up. Everything needed is here. Don’t even try to change check in time tho. Automatic declined response.

We enjoyed our vacation stay. Understanding the house has some age, it has been well maintained with many amenities. We loved the layout of the house, pool and hot tub (although some of the jets do not function as they should). The couches are worn and not as comfy as they look. Game room upstairs was a hit with the grandkids. The 1/2 bathroom upstairs is really meant for kids as a tall person cannot stand up straight. The second bathroom downstairs is a bit small but fully functional. All-in-all it was a nice unique rental. Would consider renting again.

Loved the layout of the house and the rustic look of the wooden floors and walls. Great location and very cozy

This home is just amazing. The 3 bedrooms are large all with comfortable king beds. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots pans and many appliances. Overall a beautiful home with a lot of room and open space.
