Rating
The kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots/pans/cooking utensils. We couldn’t get the tvs to work when we wanted to chill. Bummer
we had a laundry list of issues with the house. a broken fan, a shower that wouldn’t drain, clothes and moldy bread left from the previous guests, pool light didn’t work, a shower door was broken, and a dishwasher that was left unloaded when we arrived. we had to leave after one day due to the mandatory evacuation, and we repeatedly tried to get a hold of someone from vacasa for clarification on the evacuation and then to finally let someone know we would be leaving early. not once did we get to actually speak to a person. we have stayed at this property before (over ten years ago) and it looks like they haven’t done anything to maintain or improve this rental. we will be avoiding booking with vacasa if we can help it. we miss hatters realty!
We loved the house's location and basic accommodations. You can tell the house is a little weathered, and needs some TLC - but overall, the house provided exactly what we wanted. Vacasa was wonderful with the Wi-Fi support and supplemental window units.
Everything about the house and location was fabulous!! Had a wonderful time with my family & would highly recommend
We have been renting in Avon for 16 years and this house is in really sad shape. It is in need of a ton of maintenance. You should not advertise the rooms have TV's when most of them do not work. The house was not very clean, dirty dishes in a dishwasher that we later realized did not even work. I did call once to report a very disgusting moldy shower curtain and the office replaced that, but why was it there to begin with, are the showers even cleaned? The mold did not just appear, it had been building up. The maintenance staff tried to fix one of the TV's and said they would need to get another TV, so all week the TV didn't work. Also another bedroom TV we were using would not work for 1/2 the trip. Many of the remotes were missing batteries and you had to swap batteries from other remotes to get them to work, we did not bring our own. The upkeep was non-existent, the decks were a bit scary and we were half afraid to use them with the amount of give to the top railing, thankfully we were not traveling with small children. One of the bathroom sinks was leaking around the faucet, the main living room was missing blinds that looked like they were ripped off the wall. Most of the air vents were extremely dirty and appeared they had not been cleaned in months or years, there was also a lot of mold present by these air vents and around exterior doors. Many of the comforters were stained, quite a dissappointment as we did not bring our own bedding. There were loose cereamic tiles in the 2nd floor bathroom, that could cause an accident. There is a loose outlet in top floor bedroom, possible fire hazard and safety concern. There were 2 broken chairs in the kitchen, another safety concern. This house was really not acceptable in my opinion to be rented the way it was. It really made us think what are the standards that Vacasa has for their properties, and how often are these houses inspected to make sure they are actually safe? I'm sure there is something in the rental agreement that gets Vacasa off the hook if anyone were to be injured. I did call once and I will say the staff was nice and tried their best to help, but with so many things wrong there was no way they could make it right, probably not the staff's fault. Again, most of these things did not break recently, the house has clearly been left go to deteriorate. Makes me think Vacasa has zero quality standards and someone is just collecting money from families trying to have a decent family vacation. This was the definition of a tourist trap. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Had issue first night with HVAC and contacted Vacasa first thing the next morning and maintenance guy was there within 30min and had window units installed within the hour. Also had ants in several room and pest control was out within 24hrs. House was well equipped with all the necessities.
