AVWI1 Beach Stars #1-WI

The view was awesome. Moon and sun risings were breathtaking. There is a quick walking path to the beach not too steep and two houses down there is a wooden path and bridge to the beach. We did not fish, but talking to some of the people fishing they were having a great time catching Drum and in the right season Flounder. Great eateries in walking distance sit-down or buy fresh local caught and cook at the house. It was a great week. There was an issue with the furniture but VACASA was quick to fix.

First and foremost the view is awesome. It is oceanfront but if you have any elderly family members, it should be noted there are two kinda steep hills over the dunes to get to the ocean. I didn’t mind but my dad did. The home is impossible to keep sand out of but I felt like it should be sand-free when we arrive at least - the couch in there was laden with sand and dog hair. The carpet in the living room also had sand. I spent a portion of every single day sweeping and/or vacuuming. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable. There are no fans in the bedrooms (except for one). Some of the light switches don’t work. It’s just like very obviously old and while I appreciate we found somewhere to stay I was very frustrated by the company’s standard for cleanliness and I probably won’t stay in a Vacasa property again. It’s central to everything in Avon so that made things easy. The outdoor shower was nice and the hot tub was a great amenity.

We loved the private beach path, hot tub, decks, outside showers are clean and roomy, the house has plenty of space and furnished comfortably.

Location is great. Last house on a dead end low traffic street. Walking distance to just about anything you need including Avon Pier. My group surf fished every day and caught fish every day. From croaker,mullet, to Spanish and blues. We saw dolphins several days from the beach. Good ocean view from the top deck, a few feet higher and we could’ve saw the waves crashing. Dune path is narrow for a cart if you use one. All in all it was a great trip!

This home had it all! Location, view, space and all the things for a fun family vacation. The walk across the dunes was a little interesting. The winter plastic sled under the house was a life saver. We needed about 3! This house was perfect for our multigenerational family vacation. We made so many memories!
