FOCD9 Cardinal Point #9-F

I have been coming to OBX every year for the past 20 years. I have stayed at quite a few homes - yet this is the 4th time I have stayed at Cardinal Point - so yes, I do like the home. The location - on the sound with a great view of the marsh and with its own beach area and boat ramp is perfect for me. Stunning sunsets and if you like bird watching and kayaking, this is the place to stay. Takes about 3 minutes to drive to the nearest beach access - with restrooms and showers. From the home it takes 5 minutes to drive into Buxton or to Hatteras. You have to try an Apple Ugly from the Orange Blossom in Buxton The home is quite well maintained including many upgrades since my stay here two years ago. The upstairs primary bedroom is absolutely lovely with your private view of the sound. The two bedrooms downstairs are comfortable and convenient to the living room and kitchen. Several of the neighbors live here year round, so if you have questions the friendly folks will be most helpful to oblige. My one issue - is that while each bedroom and the family room have tvs and dvd players - none are blu-ray. That’s it - nice home, good value, superb location. I will be back again.

This property features wonderful bay views featuring egrets and herons daily. Great opportunities for crabbing and fishing. The kitchen is well stocked compared to most rentals and we were pleasantly surprised to find a supply of seasonings, as well. Seating in the tv area is "meh" with a gray rock-like sofa which will disappoint all but cavemen. Does feature some semi-redeeming barcalounger pedestal chairs and ottomans. Hot tub was nonfunctional during our stay and vacasa dropped the ball on repair. Problem was reported and no effort was made to resolve the

We love this home and book it at least once a year. Quiet, clean, ourdoor hot tub to soak and watch the stars, gourmet kitchen. You name it. Love Cardinal Point.

this place is a secret gem!

This was our 3rd time here at Cardinal Point, and we will absolutely be back again! From the first time here, it has felt like home. The property is phenomenal, and has everything we need. The house was immaculate, and there has been numerous updates since our first visit in 2021. For us the yard is the star. The salt marsh is absolutely beautiful, and teeming with wildlife. Having direct sound access is huge for us, as we are avid paddle boarders. It’s so beautifully natural, and again, teeming with wildlife. There are multiple, pristine beaches on the Atlantic within a 10 minute drive, as well as some of the best seafood we’ve ever had. All in all, we couldn’t be more happy with the property, and very much look forward to returning.
