We enjoyed staying at this home. Lots of light with the open floor plan on the upper floor. Bathrooms and kitchen seem recently renovated which is appreciated. The outdoor luggage lift was great for groceries and heavy luggage. We did make some private notes to the owners about maintenance items, but to be expected for HI rentals. However, as long as this home is with Vacasa we will not return, we will no longer be using Vacasa for our rentals. During our stay, there were road closures and ferry closures off Hatteras Island on our day of departure. We called Vacasa to confirm if the house was available for an additional night. Yes, the house was available however due to 'Current Conditions' there were 'Dynamic Price Increases' per the staff on the phone. We paid about $186 per night whereas the extra night was quoted at $396.50. There was no way to leave the island, yet they are price gouging? We obviously said no and promptly called the Avon Motel who, for about $130, put us up through the day and night in a room large enough for all 4 of us. No early check in fees, no extra fees period. Again, decent house but poor business practice on Vacasa's part. We'll be checking with Midgett, Resort or Surf-or-Sound for next year.

Conveniently located to grocery store, restaurants and beach. House needs a bit of TLC, but I guess that’s expected.

Home was great. Only downfall was water pressure was horrible. Only one of us cold use the shower at a time. Couldn't flush any toliets or wash dishes at the same time, otherwise you'd lose water completely.
