Overview
Welcome to 3's a Charm, where the ocean, the sound, and this elegant beach home come together for you to make the memories of a lifetime. Located in historic Hatteras Village, 3's a Charm is mere steps away from both the pristine beaches of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and the Pamlico Sound, creating one spectacular setting that ensures you and your guests will have the best of both worlds.
A long paved drive allows for plenty of parking with an additional two to three spots underneath the home. Here, you'll also find storage space for beach equipment, an outdoor shower, and access to the pool area. The house has an elevator that runs from the carport to the top level. There are three levels of furnished re-done decks, all of which offer magnificent views in all directions. The hot tub sits on the first-level deck overlooking the pool area.
3's a Charm hosts six primary bedrooms, each bedroom has a smart TV. Bedroom number one is on the first level with a TV and access to the first-level deck leading to the pool area. Across the hall is a movie room with a library of DVDs and plenty of seating. Next to that, you'll find a pub-style ping-pong game room with a wet bar, a sink, a full fridge, a TV, and sliding doors that lead to the deck.
The second level of the home contains four bedrooms. All of the rooms are spacious and carry their own individual beach flare. Rooms two and three have TVs and ocean views, and the next two have TVs and sliding doors that access the second-level deck.
Reaching the top level, you'll find a modern kitchen and living area full of sophistication. Imagine preparing breakfast as the sun rises over the ocean in front of you, only to turn around and make dinner with the sunset spanning the sound-side horizon. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, brand-new countertops, new oven and stove, a four-person breakfast bar, and a ten-person dining room table. The final bedroom is just off the kitchen and has a jetted tub, a stand-up shower, and access to the sundeck. Panoramic views of the sunrises and sunsets truly put the cherry on top of 3's a Charm.
3's a Charm is unique in that it sits within a hundred yards of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Pamlico Sound. For vacationers, this provides the perfect dynamic of flexibility between sunbathing on the beach and watersports on the sound.

Oven did not work at all, freezer woukd not open, ice maker broken. Had to go down 2 floors to get ice. None of the tvs in the bedrooms worked, only the ones in the living room & media room. Many more things were wrong. Only positive about this house are the spectacular views, even with the power poles & lines in the way.
Pros: Distance to the beach Promptness of the pool guys when the pool was full of sand and ocean water. It needed to be drained and we didn't get to use it the first 3 days, which was understandable with the recent storm Erin arriving before our week began. Kitchen was very well stocked. Cons: The ovens need to be replaced. They never reach appropriate temperature and say they are preheated when they are not. The guest book in the living room has entries from guests over 2 years ago that had the same issues with the ovens. It took us 3 hours to roast chicken breasts and 2 hours to make bacon. This took up precious vacation time we weren't planning on. The stove top is also lacking. It requires certain cookware, but there are no instructions on this. All of the shower drains are clogged and fill the shower while in use. The sink drains do not drain either. These cons made the normally mundane tasks of eating and bathing difficult while trying to enjoy a vacation. The house appeared clean upon first arrival, but once we got upstairs, the rooms and stairs still had sand all over the floors. We also found a used bandaid in the upstairs couch cushion. As far as safety, some of the floorboards on the decks are starting to rot and become weak in areas. The top step of the main stairs out front tilts slightly downward. I almost fell from the top down because of this. Please have someone inspect all of your steps and decks for safety purposes.
House needs work Management is POOR Great location
The positives! This place had a great location to the beach as long as you don’t mind climbing over the sand dune. It was right across the road and you are on the beach. The pool was great to have for our kids for before and after going to the beach. Our dogs felt very comfortable here and enjoyed the morning and afternoon walks on the beach. We tried a few restaurants around and they were all delicious. The negatives We did have to do a little cleaning when we arrived. There were a few items found under the couch in the rooms and next to the stairs of the hot tub. There are a few deck boards on the lower and upper level that are wearing a little thin. The stove range is old and probably should be replaced. It was a little finicky when we were using it. All in all the views from the home were amazing! We took the boat “Under Pressure” off shore fishing and had such a great time and caught some delicious fish. Made memories that will last a life time! With a few upgrades this would be close to my number one pick.
The house is in a beautiful location with the sound behind and the ocean in front. The pool and hot tub are an added bonus. Very nice when the beach is too windy. The house is a little dated and need some basic upgrades and repairs made. Overall it is a great house and location for those looking for a quiet beach experience.
We loved the fact that there were 5 BRs (3 King, 2 Queen) each with their own bathrooms, so there was plenty of privacy and space for all of us adults. The house has a few quirks with some amenities, but structurally it was perfect.
