This property presented some of the best photo opportunities during the evening hours, as the sun would set over the sound making future Christmas cards the perfect opportunity.

Well furnished and spacious home.

We loved our stay! The kitchen is on the 3rd floor - pack your coolers accordingly. The view from the dining and living room area is just GORGEOUS - worth the hike. Not a house for people with knee or ankle issues - the stairs will be climbed several times a day. The good news is, your calves and buns will be looking pumped. 😎 The house is so clean and well situated with great neighbors. The dock is beautiful and easy to use to get out on the sound for fishing. The bedrooms were well set up and the hot tub was great! Easy walk on access across the street to the beach. We drove 10 min to the ramps to drive on. Lots of options. You’ll love your stay!

A very nice property. Clean and spacious, well maintained, spread out over 3.5 floors (counting the loft at the top). The highlight is the back upper deck, with a beautiful 180 degree view of the sound and sunsets probably 365 days/year. Kitchen is fairly well equipped, though a house for 11 people would benefit from a second full refrigerator (there is a small drink refrigerator on the lowest level) and more silverware. Property is minutes from Ramp 49, easy access to Hatteras, in a quiet area though you will hear traffic from Rt 12 in front of the house.

Our stay at Frisco was very enjoyable. The sunsets over the sound were beautiful, as was stargazing from the top deck. It is a very close walk to the beach which was beautiful and not crowded at all considering it was the middle of May. We enjoyed using the hot tub each evening and playing pool downstairs at night. This house has A LOT of steps. Probably not the best for guests with limited mobility because there is no elevator. The kitchen was well-stocked and clean. The dining room table was just right for playing board games at night. The AC worked well but the refrigerator took a long time to cool down. There are no en-suite bathrooms in this house. Not a dealbreaker, just may cause families to plan differently about who is sleeping in which bedrooms and sharing which bathrooms. Good restaurants nearby.

The back deck overlooks a marsh and the Sound with tons of wildlife. That side of the house is very peaceful but traffic noise from 12 is a bit off putting. The plus side is you can walk to the beach by crossing 12 and walking a block to the dune crossing and beach. The furnishings are fine, the hot tub is great and the views from the hot tub are also fantastic with a nice dark sky for stargazing. Lots of stairs but to be expected for a beach house at OBX. The kitchen was very functional and had everything we needed. Appliances are all in good working condition. Communication with VACASA was not great. We were trying to find and use the kayaks under the house. It took VACASA several days to tell us the kayaks were not available for guests. That wa a bummer but we had a great experience renting from Slash Creek in Hatteras.
