AVAC17 Sea Kottage

This home is absolutely beautiful. Even though it looks small outside. It's plenty big inside. The high ceilings and furniture were amazing. I really loved the upstairs room. The ramp was nice for my mom who has trouble walking stairs. Our vacation was only 1 night due to Erin but we enjoyed our time.

Very clean house, lots of bathrooms, outdoor shower. Not a lot of space but just right for our trip to outer banks with our granddaughter. Located on the way southern end of Outer Banks it is a good hour from Kitty Hawk. Well away from the busiest part of OBX if you are looking for more quiet areas. A little skimpy on towels and really could use a bench by the shower in the master bedroom to set clothes on and to dry my feet.

The house was adorable! My favorite so far!! It was well maintained and up to par!

We had a wonderful time in Avon, NC, staying at the welcoming sea kottage, which was well-maintained for our visit. The beach was conveniently close to the kottage, and we enjoyed a beautiful view of nature from the outside deck. I highly recommend this beach house!

This was our first trip to the Outer Banks and the Sea Kottage was perfect! Great location, fairly central to everything we wanted to do. The home was beautiful, and in a nice, quiet area. It had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic, well loved and cared for home as it is just not a rental. Homey touches throughout. Great ice maker and cold refrigerator. Vacasa brought out a new coffee maker as there was just a small Keurig. They were also helpful in navigating the remote. Like a previous renter mentioned I could not access cable, only live tv on the Roku app. Netflix and other streaming platforms were available. Upstairs bedroom is private but more of a open loft. Amazing to have 3 bathrooms so it is great for a family or group. Please note that instructions on getting into the house are not accurate. Do not use the front door/Schlage lock as it apparently is being used for the owners only. After traveling 13 hours, flying and driving I was not in a good place to be locked out. The back door (by the outside shower) is the digital lock to get in. If you do not open the storm door you would not see the keypad. From the outside storm door all you will see is the small door bell icon. To wake up the keypad on the back door you have to place your entire palm over it or it does not light up. A finger will not wake it up. The maintenance staff at Vacasa did their best to try and get me in but they also had no idea that the entrance was in the back. Maintenance had to come and show me the back entrance and he mentioned that this is not the first time for this issue. Not the best way to start my vacation but once in the house it was all worth it. Neighborhood is quiet, remote, shaded and great for evening walks. Outside shower is all that I needed after a day at the beach. With this Vacasa rental you also get access to the Community pool (previous Hatteras Realty building). It was perfect for lap swimming and 2X week there is an aqua aerobics class offered. I would love to rent again but sadly the rates doubled for my same stay next year so it is now out of my price range. I was impressed with Vacasa and they have an actual office with staff in Avon and I believe Hatteras. Great stay, thanks to the owners for sharing their piece of paradise with me.
