Here's the skinny on Fishbonz-Almost Heaven 2, a lovely Buxton Oceanside cottage. This recently remodeled Lindal Cedar Diamond Point Estates home is built close to the ground and provides easy access for all ages. The house is just a five-minute walk to Buxton's best fishing, sunning, and surfing beaches. With just a short drive south, you can take the ferry to Ocracoke Island and all it has to offer, and there are additional fishing opportunities at fabled Hatteras Point. The house has good concrete parking and a one-and-a-half car garage with a washer/dryer and a fish freezer. The living area is comfortably furnished and has a nice entertainment system anchored by a large flatscreen TV, plus a DVD/Blu-ray player. The updated kitchen has all the right equipment for producing perfect meals for the nearby dining area. The first bedroom has a TV and a private bath located on the ground level. Upstairs, the second bedroom has a TV monitor with a DVD player and the third bedroom has a TV and a DVD/Blu-ray player as well. A full hall bath is close to the large fourth bedroom with a TV and deck access. If you want to be first to Cape Point in the morning, rent Fishbonz-Almost Heaven 2. Don't forget to utilize the Olympic-size pool at Club Hatteras in Avon to beat traffic congestion arriving early and leaving late!

Please note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on the weather.

We genuinely liked this house. it's located off rt 12 but access to the beach is now limited but if you are just looking for a place to camp out, this place is the ticket. there is a herd of deer that walk by and stop twice a day. there are plenty of birds and other creatures. there's a nearby pond with dozens of large turtles that will come to the shore and greet you when you stop by. You can walk to the lighthouse (which is under construction) and visit the gift shop since it's open during construction. My family and I adore the area and the peaceful nature of Buxton and will consider renting this house in the future. Aside from a few minor issues, this is really a charming place to rent.
As usual Fishbones was clean, and met our needs, and expectations.
Great location, a little dated but perfect for us.
Garage is a nice addition for ease of storing rods.
