We had a great relaxing two week stay. Lots of room for friends and family. Only steps to the beach. Comfy furniture all around. Awesome pool with Tiki bar. Pool table for family friendly competition. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, can’t wait for our next visit!!

The house was nice and roomy. It fit us all comfortably but it does need some updates. The cleaning service needs some help as well. It was a good stay vacation wise. The location was nice. Close to the beach and lots of adventure. This house could be an awesome house and vacation for someone if they fix the issues we had.

Loved the location

Staying at By the Sea in Waves, NC felt nothing short of magical. Each morning we woke up to the short stroll down to the beach to watch the most breathtaking sunrises, and at night we’d lay back and stargaze while listening to the ocean’s calming rhythm. It’s truly the kind of place that makes you slow down, breathe deeply, and soak in every moment. The home itself was spotless and beautifully cared for — you can tell the owners take great pride in making it a welcoming retreat. The pool was a dream — sparkling clean, refreshing, and perfect for both relaxing in the sun and cooling off after the beach. What made this trip unforgettable was the peaceful atmosphere. The house feels tucked away and private, yet you’re just steps from the ocean. It was the best of both worlds: complete tranquility with everything you need close by. We left feeling recharged, grateful, and already talking about when we can come back. If you’re looking for the best place to relax, reconnect, and experience the beauty of the Outer Banks, By the Sea is it. We can’t wait to return!

The home’s location near the beach and the number of bedrooms were definite highlights and worked well for our group. However, for the price, we expected a higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance. We arrived to find some broken glass on the floor and pillowcases with hair and dirt still on them. The fire alarm was disconnected, which felt concerning from a safety standpoint. The pool gate was broken, and the deck felt quite soft and spongy underfoot. Additionally, the property is located next to a trailer/RV park, which wasn’t mentioned in the listing and it could get loud at night. Communication was inconsistent and frustrating. Check-in time changed without flexibility, and it was very hard to get in touch with someone for support. The prime location was a highlight, but the overall condition of the property didn’t reflect the cost.

This house is spacious and clean with enough room for everyone. The pool was a great way to cool off after the beach. We had a great time!
