BXTB43 Harper House #4BB

LOVED SITTING ON THE PORCH AND WATCHING THE OCEAN. WAS NICE TO HEAR THE OCEAN AT NIGHT ALSO. DIDNT GET TO STAY LONG, SO NOT MUCH ELSE TO SAY.

4 wheel drive is necessary to get into driveway, would be very difficult without. Ocean completely covered the driveway during high tide and still reached the house during low tide. Zero beach the entire stay. Pictures of the house posted are very misleading in this aspect, one picture had to be a very old photo because the house next to it is not in the picture and therefore the picture shows a large beach in front, which has clearly gone away since. We would have chosen a different house to stay if we would have known there would be no beach for the kids to play

Awesome location

We loved everything about this house and its location. We cannot wait to return. We cook a lot when we do the beach house vacation and were extremely pleased with the kitchen and its setup. A couple things to be aware of if your looking at this house. High tide comes to the house now, so there is limited beach space in front of the house, which gets shared by the others on the streets behind you. It never felt crowded, and people were courteous, but you don't have that large beach space in front of the house like other properties. This was a huge plus for me, some others may not like it so much. There are also a lot of stairs. That is to be expected for "on the beach" houses. This may be an issue for older guests or older dogs Part of the road and the driveway are sand. We had AWD or 4WD vehicles. I do not think it would have been an issue if we didn't, but that is probably something to keep in mind. All these are issues with a lot of beach houses, and no complaint at all on our part, just something to keep in mind as you plan a vacation. Again, can't wait to get back to this house. 42 years of OBX trips, and this is our current favorite.

This was a dream vacation for us. We took our terminal mother on her bucket list trip. It was amazing. This beach house was amazing. Outstanding views. Quiet area and mellow beach activity there. The decks are spacious and sturdy. There is an outdoor shower for you after beach activities. I’ve never seen so many. Beautiful seashells on any beach ever. The house is equipped with so many windows and sliding doors to enjoy every view there is to offer. Not only did the house have such amazing views. It is equipped with everything you need. Kitchen stocked with dishes and utensils for use. The bathrooms had plenty of towels and toiletries. The community was welcoming and mellow. The communication and staff experience was great. Vacasa made it so easy to book and arrive / depart. We seen some of the most amazing things during our stay. Kite surfers, jets flying over coast. Double rainbows 2 days in row. Friendly and funny seagulls. Lots of crabs at night come out and made it interesting to watch them everywhere. The house was everything we wanted. Right on the beach, quiet, peaceful, the ease of booking with vacasa. I can’t say enough. I would recommend to everyone friend or stranger. I will return as much as possible after this wonderful experience. It’s not just a beach house. It’s where dreams come true. Thank you vacasa. We will be back to the Harper house again!!

Our family of one set of grandparents, daughter, and 4 grandchildren, ages 7 to 14, loved this home. Roomy living room, dining room, and kitchen area large enough for all of us to be together very comfortably, with absolutely gorgeous views. Waves were very large so surfers were there to add to the entertainment along with dolphins. Literally, steps from the beach. The 4 bedrooms were nice and 2 had the same beautiful views as the living room area. A comfy, home with double porches that all enjoyed and would definitely like to visit again. Would recommend to our friends. Thank you to the Harper House for a great vacation.
