HAODC30 Stolen Moments

Just another Vay Cay on the Outer Banks. Whether or not during a hurricane, nor'easter or another house or more houses fall into the ocean during high surf events. We stayed in a well protected by dunes condo and after the first day of out stay rained all day, the rest of the week was as beautiful as many of our other vay cay shuns on the outer banks of NC. I took pictures of the one back in buxton we stayed at in the spring of 2013 which is now ( Nov 2nd ) the front row and met the neighbor next door who was very nice to me after I shared with him why I was taking pictures. The outer banks shares many of the same qualities I remember of fire Island, ny where I spent many wonderful summer days at fire island state park, just west of the 200 year old fire island lighthouse.

The location was great, the property was very clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with cookware and utensils.

Such a great stay! The cabana was super clean, had the perfect amount of space for our little family, and the bed was really comfortable. Loved the upgraded walk-in shower, and the location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to the beach with beautiful views. Already looking forward to coming back!

Vacasa was very responsive when I had a couple of issues. Local team was very fast to respond and were so helpful. Place is small and compact with lots of storage. Nice ocean views from roof top deck and perfect place to view famous Hatteras sunrises and sunsets. The kitchen had everything I needed for the week I was there including a blender. The bed was comfy, the tv is a tv/dvd combo which was great plus there are streaming services available. Bathroom is small but there is storage. Shower is not full size so shaving legs was awkward but still doable. Close to everything in Hatteras Village, the ferry, the Graveyard of Atlantic musuem, wonderful gift shops, art galleries and of course a Wings store! Best part was closeness to beautiful beach- just steps to community’s own access to wide, beautiful beach. The only disappointing thing was the lack of trash cans on the beach or by the access point. I picked up or saw quite a bit of litter from thoughtless people. I was there by myself for a week. I never got any info about the Hatteras Club that is supposed to come with the rental so never got to do that.

Our cabana had everything we needed and then some! Very clean and cute ocean decor. The rooftop was a nice relaxing ocean view space. A one minute walk to the beach. Loved being there!!
