Nice sized house with comfortable sitting and sleeping areas. Enough window air conditioners to keep the temperature comfortable during a very hot spell. The house is dated and not well lit upstairs. The stairs are narrow and steep leading from the living room up. Cleaning leaves much to be desired, although the supplies needed to clean it ourselves were on hand. (For example, microwave was dirty, bathroom floor was filthy, we're not just talking about things like sand on the floor of a beach home, which is to be expected.) Bring your own toiletries as a back up. Also note that the driveway does not go all the way to the road, so you will enter through the driveway next door and cut across the yard to park in front of the house. Overall, it served our needs for a short stay, but based on our experience with the condition of the house when we arrived, I would not return.
We had never booked an Airbnb before and had no idea what to expect when getting there. We weren’t sure exactly what we needed to bring, but this house provided almost everything. They provided towels and dishes, and there were clean sheets and pillows on every bed. There was a coffee maker and pots and pans to use for cooking. They provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the master bath. All we had to bring was our daily necessities and food. We didn’t realize when booking, how far down this property was, so make note that it takes about an hour to get back into town to do some of the main attractions, however, aside from that it was an absolutely beautiful trip. The Wi-Fi did go out one day, but it was at no fault of the property. There was an outage on the whole island, but it was resolved within a couple hours. I especially loved the private washing machine, that way we were able to take home, clean clothes and not having to worry about washing them when we got back. We were worried about the house, not having central air, but the window units were definitely working and kept the house cool the whole time we were there. I wish we could have stayed longer. But if we ever get the chance to go back, we would definitely book this property again.
Good price and location on Hatteras island. Only small amenities that would have been helpful would be a dishwasher. Also no central AC, only window units and only one TV. For the price and location though, I’m not complaining! It was nice and comfy for my family with younger kids it worked out just fine. Would stay again in the future.
We had a nice time, the only challenges were the grill ignitor didn't work and I had to get an external grill light from Vacasa. Location is good, short drive to the beach.
This beach house was so comfortable! There isn’t central air, which concerned us at first, but four window units had the home a wonderful temperature the whole time. The beds were comfortable, and the showers were lovely. The complimentary shower soaps smelled really good. There was a really great hose in the front for getting the sand off after beach play. And it was close to our favorite local bookstore- Buxton Village Books. This is a great place to stay!
The whole setup was great, especially the screened in the porch. I would get it again.
