RO24 South Shore Haven

The house inside was very clean & great set up for our family. Very clean inside. Crib in one of the rooms was perfect for my 1 year old granddaughter. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I did call in to see if this pool was heated bc I did not see it on description. On the phone they said yes& it was 204 & some change. I paid it. Arrived to find it was not. It took 2 days & 4 phone calls to get this answer. They kept telling me someone was coming the 1st day. Then it was someone was calling me back. This was frustrating that it took this much effort. The fenced in part was clean but the outside had white claws & other cans in bushes etc. Oddly a stack of pots and pans under the porch. And you should not advertise for outside shower as it's definitely not usable maybe it's because it's off season & a few screens on enclosed hot tub & screen door on porch needs attention. Other then that this place worked out perfect for our family the hot tub was great. Our family did enjoy our trip. Walk over to the beach for a perfect day & at night checked out the crabs on the beach. Pizza & convenient stores was just around the corner. This house is located perfectly. Thank you for the memories. The house is so cute inside.

Peaceful surroundings, great home and I could not beat the price.

when I arrived, the cleaning crew were outside smoking cigarettes. We were unable to check in on time as they had just begun. We were about an hour late checking in. There was garbage piled on the side of the hot tub and all over the property. There was garbage behind outside furniture on the decks. under the beds were not clean and there was dust everywhere. There were broken light switches, the dining room chairs were broken, the dishwasher did not work and there was broken outdoor furniture everywhere. The screens were ripped and torn, and there was metal shards flying all over. This is an absolute beautiful home and a beautiful location, but it is not maintained or well kept. The contract was not honored as we were not allowed to check in on time and all of the amenities did not work. I’ve been offered no assistance. I had planned to return until this happened.

This house had a great location (quiet and away from the bustle of Nags Head) while still being close to all the things you want in a beach destination. The pool was very nice and larger than expected. The house is just a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed our stay!

The area was nice and quiet but it was about 30 minute drive to get to a grocery store or main shops. I would go back to Rodanthe but not this house again. They need to take a week or two rental income and put it back into the house

Sunset views, walk to ice cream store, easy walk down street to the public access path to ocean.
