I enjoyed the private access to the beach, located just a few feet across the street from the house.
Truly the only good thing about this stay was the private beach deck/access. I had to reach out via text, phone calls, & email 4 days in a row make sure everyone is aware of all the issues encountered during the stay until finally giving up and checking out early. We had the fridge not cold at all for over 24-36 hours, thankfully that resolved, dirty house, dirty sheets with hair on them, sand everywhere, sticky/dirty cabinets in the kitchen, air filter vent never cleaned, blinds dirty, dirty plates and pots in the cabinets, floor so dirty our kids feet turn black when barefoot in the house within 30min, & a cockroach in this house. I was utterly disturbed, disappointed & quite frankly mad. The cleaning crew supposedly came back on Sunday, where they cleaned the blinds and moped the floor however did nothing with the dirty sheets or any other issues. I called again and the Vacasa rep said they would resend the cleaning crew if we wanted & I said yes. They cleaning crew came and dropped off sheets but didn’t clean anything nor take the dirty ones away. What should have been a relaxing and enjoyable family vacation has been horrendous.
This was my first time renting a whole house at the beach. There were a few things that customer service took care of but you may want to make sure you have extra toilet paper, paper towels, trashbags, ect. The provide a kit with dishwashing soap for sink and dishwasher, a new sponge, a pack of laundry detergent. There were some left over by other guests so we didn't have to buy any but we were surprised to not find toilet paper after the roll was empty. We took coffee filters but there were plenty there. Plenty of dishes and cookware. The only thing we brought from home was an electric griddle. They had everything else. You only get one towel per person (6 were there on day one but we had to ask for more as we had 9 people) Took a whole day to get extras so you may want to have plenty of your own if you don't want to be doing laundry all the time. The deck on the dune was a great asset! We were able to leave chairs, floats, shoes, ect. and nothing was taken. We loved not having to deal with umbrellas in the sand. It was near the public access so there was a porta john if you didn't want to go into the house wet to use the bathroom. Lots of toys/chairs in the closet under the house. There is an outside shower under the deck that got the most use from us. We didn't have any rain but if we did, there were games, puzzles and books available. Plus a TV in each room as well as living room, we just didn't know how to work it with 7 remotes. LOL We acquired a timeshare so we won't have a need for a house in the future but would consider going back now that we know what to expect. Have fun!
Everything about this place close to the beach house was clean we lived it amd would love to go back.
This place was perfect for our family of 4! We have been coming to Topsail for 11 years and have tried several houses, but this one fit us perfectly.
Third time at this house! My family and I love it! The deck on the dune just puts it on another level!
